Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is amazing. It's better than it deserves to be considering this is a hack and slash spin-off of a critically acclaimed stealth game series, but the talents at Platinum Games have pulled off another visceral and enthralling gameplay loop which will has kept me invested and coming back to this game for hundreds of hours on the Xbox 360 and PC. Featuring a juxtaposition of clever writing but dumb and cheesy exposition this short campaign is engaging, hilarious and charming. The game is screaming for more length but a sequel is likely never going to happen, leaving the awkward camera system and other issues the game has left in. If you want to play one of the greatest character action games ever conceived, Give this a try, you wont regret it.
