Early Access Review
It's promising! It's certainly not the original Hawken, but it's fun!
I would enjoy the combat being a little heavier like the PVP in the original Hawken, and possibly more loadout customisation from the beginning for those of us who prefer a heavier mech etc.

I'm certainly here for the future of this game, but it's a little rocky atm and buggy. Can't wait to see where it goes!

Finally, a game other than Titanfall 2 where you can play as a Satchel Cowboy

Beautiful art, excellent gameplay loop, a few minor problems with the interface and visibility (Impossible to see pickup particles when every particle effect looks the same, peepers are hard to see behind the giant text label). 8/10, really solid ~20 hour experience.
Also if you spam crouch with the bouncer equipped, the viewmodel does a wank gesture lol

So it's Top Gun as a 2D fighter jet arcade game with the characters from Cowboy Bebop and the plot of Gurren Lagann.
The only thing that would make this game better is the Risk of Rain treatment - take it from 2D to 3D in the sequel

It's a quaint game. There aren't many of those; It's simple, but has depth. Though it's a long journey, the uncertainty makes it interesting.
If you can excuse the recent developer firing controversy and the laundry list of bugs, physics, and performance issues, it's worth your time.

Receiver 2 improves hugely on the first game, by adding meaning to each and every gun mechanic you could think of - there's misfires and unsafe holstering, failure-to-feed jamming, stovepipe jamming, double-feed jamming, safety, and even some surprisingly innovative ways to force the player to pay close attention to how they load a magazine or a revolver's cylinder.
Definitely worth the full price. It takes the crown for the best non-VR VR game.

Probably the best, most reliable, and certainly the most active Quake game to date. A vibrant community still, even in 2020, and some of the best gamemodes ever available in an AFPS. QPL is a personal favourite. There's also a better server list at ql.syncore.org

This game came out in 2007 and is still in the top 10 by playercount on steam.

It's 13 years old, and it's far more fun than anything released in the past few years. Need I say more? Yes;
The community is still great and active, the modding scene is somehow still going, it runs well, there's a great depth to the different playstyles - truly up there with TF2 as a timeless multiplayer classic

For 7 days, it's mechanically incredible. It's fun and tense, even if the opponents and setting are simple. It's in desperate need of a solid sequel that expands mechanics and enemies.
