TF2 used to be a delightful (and still somewhat is) arena shooter. With a timeless artstyle, charm and arcade-y nature, TF2 is just fun to be around and provides something other games like Overwatch can't even dream of.

But if you're looking to pick up this game long term I would recommend against it; it sadly pales in comparison to current games of the same genre (which is to be expected given it's age and lack of updates).
Balance is questionable, the ingame store is a scam (seriously buy weapons and hats somewhere else), and there isn't much incentive to play the objective, everyone just runs around killing.

I struggle to recommend this game as the TF2 developers just don't receive enough funding from Valve or just don't give a ♥♥♥♥. What's holding this game back is supposedly the same people who are responsible for thrusting it forward.

If this game was given to the community I wouldn't hesitate to uninstall everything and just play this game nonstop. New games can't buy old school charm.
But Valve is ignorant and that sadly won't be happening any time soon.

Early Access Review
Advanced logic and building is the hallmark of Stormworks, but upon overcoming the steep learning curve and familiarising yourself with the building system, this game truly shines. The game has a calming atmosphere similar to that of peaceful minecraft or unturned and thus exploring the world by sea, land or air is quite liberating, be it in your own masterpiece or someone else's vehicle. You'll have some of the most fun with workshop creations as clearly some people spend way too much time on this game.
Updates are regular, the devs consistently deliver on what the community wants, multiplayer has a lot of potential and the landscape and missions have enough variety to keep you busy if building is not your thing.
