This game only has 20% of their content for free. The company is expecting you to buy a $12 pass for $15, improving on ritual activity armor by spending $$$ on eververse armor, AND making your investment worthless by pooling all your money into another game that isn't Destiny 2.

i feel so bad for the developers because they are in a company that forces them to implement the worst microtransaction experiences.

UPDATE: Thankfully NK fixed the XP gain, but there is an even bigger problem that I only realised just now.

While it is an almost polished game, it is completely ruined by its xp mechanics being tower specific. It forces you to stick to the same 3 or 4 towers just for the sake of winning more games, because you only gain XP for those towers. And in case any balance patches happens to change the meta, most people will instantly lose like 90% of their matches because they simply just didn't grind other towers enough. If this is addressed, I will finally be able to address this game.
For now though, play NK's actually balanced game, BTD6. Battles 2 has all the flair and aesthetics, but the low arena balancing is horrendous and I can't be bothered playing this game much longer.

In this game, you either lose your current match, or lose 4 matches later on because you ranked up arenas. it makes no sense.

What makes this game for me are the many options the game has, in terms of attracting all kinds of audiences.

Example: I absolutely love how I have the option of not using checkpoints (to get more treasure). Imo with essentially having infinite lives I don't see the point of having checkpoints, so I appreciate the option to destroy them.

Honestly, as a Casual game, TF2 is freaking amazing. The game is incredibly exciting and dynamic, with 9 different classes and a myriad of combinations of weapon loadouts to create. At the same time, HATS off to you being able to keep this game still active for 10+ long years.

However, if this game is transitioning to a competitive scene, there are quite a few problems. I still highly recommend TF2 to everyone for many reasons, which is better experienced than explained.
