Game is cool until it decides to crash completely, hope you didn't have any rare loot or an exfil streak in DMZ because it'll count as a death and you lose everything. Kinda amazing that there's absolutely no recourse for trying to even reconnect or having your squad pick up your loot, because dying would actually be beneficial as you'd drop your backpack - disconnecting just makes your character and items disappear into the void.

Also, what the heck is this awful UI? It's absolutely cluttered everywhere and it takes forever to navigate through these menus. For a game made in 2022, it's amazingly user-unfriendly, you'd think after decades of making these games, they'd know how to at least properly make a decent interface. Modern Warfare from 2007 had better connection and menuing than this game.

AAA indie game studio, please understand.

Meme reviews aside, this game is pretty subpar, even by all other h-game asset flip standards. It's a simple physics puzzle game where you draw a line for water to reach the cup; if your brain is too lazy even for that, there's a simple button that lets you auto-complete the level along with the achievements. While the game might be graced by the original artist as being "official" art by the game (aka, actually not stolen assets and artwork), what little gameplay there is, is hampered down by the actual rewards (CGs) not even being the right resolution size; you're rewarded with admittedly good looking high quality art and Live2D "movies", which mostly boils down to mostly ecchi smut girls in skimpy or non-existent clothing and one or two scenes of actually doing the deed.

Keep in mind this is all with the actual h-patch installed too; without it, you don't even get access to the Gallery in the main menu and half the art/rewards are missing, which I assume most people even came here for in the first place. I don't know how much of the profits here go toward the artist, but if you REALLY want to support them without giving money to devs who try to middleman profit by making subpar puzzle games, just support the artist directly on Pixiv[www.pixiv.net] (18+) or fanbox[yuyuworks.fanbox.cc] (18+). Not gonna lie, I'm pretty sure you can get most of the artwork on the game here, for free there, and at proper resolution size if you care about that.

Remember, don't buy things while horny.

A very solid entry into the I'm on Observation Duty series. If you don't know what this game is, it's basically a "spot the difference" type of game, where you cycle through cameras and report changes in the environment or questionable intruders that shouldn't be there. It's spooky to play solo, and great fun to play with friends or to stream with an audience to help out. Just don't gaslight yourself!

Features six maps with varying degrees of difficulty, and about half of them have new reporting mechanics to keep things fresh for veterans of the series. If you're a returning player, you know what to expect, and if you're just joining in, this game is a great start for new players to the series since it features the main mechanics of the games without the jank of the older games or experimental features of the more recent ones.

I don't know much about the lore for The Backrooms, so I went in blind without knowing too much about the entities. The game does a very good job at building anxiety due to the fact that most entity encounters are far and few between (at least at the start), and everything is procedurally generated so that no two games are the same, and you won't expect what you'll run into next. I also believe this game is a step up from the other walking-simulator Backrooms games due to the hunger, thirst and sanity mechanics, which you have to juggle along with dodging monsters or even occasionally fighting them, if you're lucky enough to find a weapon.

On the flip side, some things I think the game should improve on; streamer class definitely feels a bit more significant than the other classes due to the fact I found a weapon about 99% of the time with it, while with other classes I'd be lucky enough to even find enough food and water on the ground. Some of the sound effects and screams also feel repeated on some entities, even on different floors, so that also took some immersion away. Finally, if you have the VHS and PS1-effects graphics on, on some floors, it is VERY difficult to see items on the floor (and on that note, it's also sometimes difficult just to pick up those items themselves!)

Despite these shortcomings, the game is in early access, so I believe the developer is on the good path to making a great game right now. He just made a Discord server and is actively listening to all feedback, so I've got high hopes for this project which already has a lot of groundwork and content set for it.

You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?

A cute, short (2-3 hours) visual novel/choose your own adventure experience with a literally colorful cast of characters. Each route focuses on each character's ambitions and their struggle with the roles they've been dealt with in the story, with your decisions being the factor that ultimately changes their fates, for better or worse (usually worse!). I think the most impressive part of the entire game is just how many "CGs" are present throughout the entire game - usually, visual novels are sparse on these and rely on the descriptions through text to relay the story, but the fact there's so many really helps convey the emotions and thoughts going through each character's minds from every action and decision. I grew pretty attached to every single character throughout the story and the game knows and plays with this fact, too. The message it delivers is also very sweet and emotional by the ending.

Overall, a fun experience throughout, and definitely go in blind if possible!

Great RPG idle/auto battler. If you enjoyed this game, check out their other game (only on mobile for now, but here's hoping for a PC port), Buriedbornes.
