I love this game, it was one of, if not the best game to be released in 2024. Sony just H A D to do it injustice with their scummy practices. This company just singlehandedly ruined democracy for so many of us. It's unbelievable and unjust.

Don't buy sony endorsed games ever

Edit: As of 6th May 2024 we have achieved ABSOLUTE LIBERTY from those filthy Automatons known as Sony, WE WILL NOT FALTER IN THE NAME OF DEMOCRACY

I had enjoyed this game for years now...
Key word... Had...
CV rework and adding 2 whole ship classes that nobody likes...
Even the censorship is so bad Ba Sing Se would be proud
How on earth is this game even playable without rage, p2w, fun police or just predatory behaviours for monetization

A very comfortable game to play when one is either utterly tilted or just tired from a long day's work. Also a very engrossing game so be warned, a "short" session may end up as a 5 hour session.

Alright I am writing this review after playing the game for a whole 24 hours (without a single crash)

As for the Overall game and story, its empty, sure but that leaves a lot of room for improvement (being a long term Paradox Interactive game like CK2 and EU4) Game UI is quite bad as there is not much flavour added to converting pops or assimilating them. The same goes to naval warfare (which kinda mimics real life where its not as impactful) but it promotes big death stacks of navies for total supremacy. Im personally not a fan of the lack of an army cap (Running around as a barbarian horde with 40k warriors does not make much sense as it is clearly not sustainable at that era (Especially when a wandering horde would need at least 50% of its population to be male and at least a good 20-40% of those males to be working as herders for their food production). Buildings is a big facepalm. (Good to have less micro, bad to still click the damn thing instead of tasking a governer to be like: "Here is 200 gold and 30% of domain taxes, please autobuild stuff. Thanks")

On the political spectrum, no events that give unavoidable stability loss/gain, Characters are much more bland than EU4's characters (somehow) Only bright side is the relatively interesting trade goods mechanics employed as well as the Governors System (edicts should be reworked tho) I am impressed by the research system with its inventions mechanic (although it just makes Civil-power orientated rulers super op) Blessings could be more interactive (maybe add some mechanics of religious matters from CK2)

I could see where there are some issues with performance amongst the reviews but that is almost like every other big game on release but the game is still young. There is plenty of room to grow and henceforth I still recommend it as Paradox Games (while they may dissapoint early, will eventually pull through)

Welcome to Stellaris, not the first grand strategy game set in space, but I think the best one out there. To simply put it, Stellaris allows you to estabish an empire of your choosing and basically vie to conquer the whole galaxy. My 500 hours of gameplay (as of 2.2), I can simply say that Stellaris and Paradox in general provides so much life into the game. Even though one may argue that the large amount of DLCs is a downside, I think the DLCs are much more worthy to purchase if you are an ardent fan of space games as each and every one of them creates new mechanics or story fluff to spice up your game. Even if you are a player who would normally only play grand strategy as a multiplayer game (due to... reasons...) you can simply purchase the base game and rely on 1 buddy who does have all the DLCs, essentially sharing them with you. (A *totally* better game plan than most AAA devs (not naming any but you know what I mean))

A simple, nice and casual game providing good grind where needed and simple exploration that never ceases to amaze me
