Frame data in training mode is paid DLC. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.

I wanted to get into tekken 8, got this to see if I'd enjoy it, but I'm not gonna support stupid greedy devs. They didn't even bother having a definitive edition or bundle for all the dlc characters either.
Not playing tekken 8, not ever playing tekken again.

This game would feel satisfying for a hard unforgiving rouge like if the main character didn't control so unresponsively. Dashing any angle downwards only sends straight down, which is huge when the character is extremely floaty and can't fast fall so you need to dash down. Slashing enemies puts you in random directions. I only used explosive guns due to how bad the aiming felt. Also the runs feel bad when all the upgrades don't feel satisfying. What's the point of sword damage if everything still takes the same amount of slices.

Honestly I don't think PvE was a good idea anyways but screw predatory FOMO monetization.

Tip: Try putting running mode on inverse if you want to auto run.

This is an amazing fast paced melee action game that has very fluid, precise platforming. I tend to like the melee combat approach over ranged. I'm more of a megaman zero and castlevania type of guy. The hard mode is a nice challenging difficulty for me. I absolutely love being able to grab the corpses of my enemies and wreck havoc.

TLDR: I'm recommending cause it's free and it's a good local player game

I'm a pretty avid platform fighter player and I played this back when it was icons combat arena and this looks way more original and sick, but I can't help but feel it's wasted potential. If you've seen the negative reviews, they're all about the monetization of this game. The game is free, but to play online isn't. This would make it good for local sessions and tournies, but it would need players first for that to happen. Atleast you can do whatever the arcade mode is. People are recommending monetization, but I just don't think fighting games are meant to be f2p and icons already died being f2p. Brawlhalla is the only alive active fighting game that is f2p. (maybe riot's project L could work) Fighting game monetization is meant to sell dlc characters. I think if you could atleast play maybe 1-3 characters online and have the rest be bought together I would try to get my friends to try it out. I only just looked at this game cause I watched a random mossrock vid that had a character in this. I'm not going to play this game further cause I don't think I'll even find online players to play with and this game just launched and doesn't have enough players, so unless this somehow randomly pops off I'm out.
Other complaints: readability is off, my gcc just doesnt work in stage select, and god that training mode music is so awful.
