OSRS is and always has been an amazing and timeless game. I've been playing this game on and off for the past 10 years and regret none of it. Sometimes I may take a break for a year or even two but I always come back to it and get super into it when I do. And my character will always be there waiting for me when it's time to play again. I have great memories of OSRS and RS3 and will continue to make new amazing memories of OSRS (f*ck RS3, EoC ruined the game)

(This review is after 30 hours of game play, I have not yet finished the game and may update upon completion)

Soul Hackers 2 is a flawed game, however, there are aspects it excels at that make up for it's flaws for me at least. The story is compelling, the characters are quite interesting, and the battle gameplay is actually fairly fun. The game does heavily suffer in it's level design, side quests, loading time, and many quality of life aspects. The level design is the absolute worst thing about the game though. Dungeons are bland, empty, and extremely boring. The puzzles are hardly even puzzles even.

All that said I've still enjoyed the story and gameplay and ultimately even though there were some very egregious flaws I would not take back my purchase and had a positive experience. It's a far cry from a persona game, however, it's worth playing if you're looking for something new to play and enjoy other SMT games but for sure go to persona first if you haven't yet, especially with P5R being just released.

edit 11/27/2022: I still have not relaunched the game and finished it yet but I still want to.

I've been following Potionomics for at least a year, perhaps longer, and had been eagerly awaiting it's release. I purchased it the moment it was out and I can say with certainty that I do not regret it whatsoever. Potionomics has a great mix of all the things I love in a game, card games, haggling, socializing with other characters, romancing them ;), time management, and so much more. All of that with an amazing art style, adorable animation and posing, and just a fun experience altogether. Every character in the game is SO interesting and unique, I just want to get to know them all! The characters are so great that I'm thinking of looking into cosplaying some but there are SO many good ones to pick from in this game.

I still have a ways to go in the game, however, I've loved every second of it so far and am extremely satisfied. This game has certainly kept me up late into the night, I just don't want to put it down.

Potionomics quickly shot up to near the top of my list of favorite games and I'll have to say it very well may be my pick for best game of 2022.

I would like to actually try Lost Ark out, however, after multiple hours of troubleshooting and trying literally everything I can think of or find online this game refuses to launch. When attempting to launch the Easy Anti Cheat splash will show up, load to completion, then the Lost Ark transparent splash screen appears, sits there doing nothing for about a minute, then the it closes out and nothing else happens. Steam will say that I closed out of the game and am no longer playing it.

If the game is this broken before I can even get into it I can only imagine just how broken the actual game is once I finally get in.

This game is the buggiest mess I have ever played and I have seen some VERY broken games before when testing dev builds. There are some points where the game is practically unplayable and there is not a single scene in the game that didn't include some sort of bug.

The game is littered with broken animations, t-posing characters, broken lighting, graphical corruption, missing geo, and more.

All of that said, the story is still absolutely amazing. If it were any other game I'd have quit from these bugs, however, the story kept me going even when I just had to close my eyes and imagine what the scene looked like because the characters were t-posing off frame.

I genuinely love the writing in this game. This game also proved that you can make a great life is strange game without the need for some supernatural power like all the other games have. I feel the lack of some power like that actually would make this game shine above the rest if it were not for how broken the game was. (Though, still not sure even if it ran perfectly if it would be better than the first life is strange)

As a remaster this is an absolutely awful failure, as a game itself it is amazing. As such, I would advise getting whichever version you can get cheaper. The base price of the original before the storm game is lower than the remaster, however, you may still find the remaster on sale or in bundles or something other way of getting a reduced price. As such I am still recommending this game just with the caveat of only if you can get it cheaper than the original.

Blackjack hands (which actually has nothing to do with Blackjack) ends up being more frustrating than fun. Firstly the lack of any tutorial is a major issue. I started off the game with no clue what to do and restarted the game a few times thinking it was broken till II just started hitting every single button and found out you need too use the arrow keys to move stuff around and it's nothing like blackjack, it's more closely related to 2048 but with more annoying and confusing features.

There are many random rules that are never explained such as not being able to match colors, new hidden cards coming in from the side, and so on. With nothing ever being explained and not being able to see the cards that are going to come in to this math game you'll honestly have better luck just spamming the arrow keys sudo randomly.

I've played other games from this dev and quite liked those games, however, this one is just not it.

I was a huge fan of the first LIS, not so much with the second one, so I was skeptical but still VERY optimistic for this game. This was one of the few games I've preordered and played the moment it came out and I have to say, I am very pleased with my choice to do so.

I am still yet to finish the game, I'm only about halfway through at this point, but this is aiming up to be my top game of 2021. I certainly plan on finishing the game and can't wait to do so, however, I tend to take a long time with these as some of the choices in the game I will sit there thinking about it for an insane amount of time.

Life is Strange: True Colors really gave me some strong emotions during it. The game does an excellent job at accomplishing this for a wide range of emotions.

Early Access Review
Melvor Idle is just old school Runescape made into an idle game and it's somehow actually better than OSRS. I've played TONS of OSRS in the past and have had a more enjoyable time in this idler than I did in OSRS. Being an idle game it takes away a lot of the tedious things in RuneScape such as having to travel everywhere, having to click each thing for gathering resources (such as trees), and having to go back and forth for things like runecrafting. The tediousness of skilling is no longer boring but actually quite enjoyable. The only parts of OSRS that I do miss is the GE, other players, and PVP. However, I am fairly early into the game so some of these things may be introduced soon or put in as the game is early access. As it stands though this game is a very fun idle game that also has stuff to actively do.

Do not get Stars SLIDE if you are not an able bodied player. The game has extremely poor accessibility with many issues that will hinder the visually impaired or those with impaired motor functions. The controls require the player use the mouse to bring a star in the right direction and is very sensitive with this. This can and will cause issues for many players. There are also some elements that will be extremely hard to distinguish for players who are visually impaired and a few other elements that colorblind players could have issues with. I do not normally expect much in the terms of accessibility from games that are this cheap and small, however, this game was significantly worse in the field than others I've seen.

As for the actual game other than the accessibility issues. The puzzle design never felt very good, I never found myself feeling like I was doing a puzzle more just moving a dot through a short simple maze. Some elements did not read well even for players who are not visually impaired. The controls were also quite annoying. I would much rather have had keyboard controls or something a bit less sensitive as I often accidentally threw the star the wrong way when not even trying to move it at all.

The game idea has some potential to be a decent puzzle game. There just needs to be a lot of work put into making it more accessible. Doing that will not only help those who absolutely need it but also improve the quality of life for all other players. Doing that and working on the puzzle design a bit more would certainly make this game a decent buy. I'd love to see the developer do something along those lines then I could recommend this game.

A Way Out is a Co-op story game with amazing design and stellar writing. This game was absolutely mind boggling. The skill checks and activities you have to do are actually quite interesting and diverse keeping it fresh. One of my main concerns going into it was that it would be just another puzzle game and also that the split screen mechanic would be annoying. Both of these concerns are not something to worry about. It's much much more than just a puzzle game and the split screen actually made a lot of sense and really did help with working together. The game is very well polished sub a few things but there is nothing game breaking and the level of polish they put into things like the camera work REALLY makes things intense, interesting, and diverse. The best thing of the whole game was the writing though. The writing near the end was the most amazing thing ever and it created such an original and crazy experience that I won't soon forget.

The game is priced at $29.99 and took my friend and I 5 hours to beat with a good bit of messing around too. For how great I found the game I would be okay with that price. It is currently on sale though for $9.89 which is a steal but you can still get it even lower than that. This game is included in the EA Play subscription which is $5 a month. As there is not much replay value I would suggest buying a month of EA Play for this game alone. But you also then get to play all the other EA titles. You can cancel the subscription right away should you want to and still get access to this game and many others for 1 month. For $5 there is no way I would ever not suggest this game.
