A must if you want to play WH40K's DoW

This thing is great, I run a two monitor system and having to alt-tab to check work mail, music or search up on youtube is a common practice. The issue with WH40K's DoW is that it crashes if you alt-tab, no matter if it's windowed. So trying to enjoy a match while wanting to watch a stream or movie was a genuine pain.

This software though came in and fixed it all up. I can finally enjoy the boons of fullscreen gaming while watching a movie in peace without having to sacrifice my game.

ONLY CHOOSING THE "RECOMMEND" OPTION FOR THIS BECAUSE THERE'S NOT A NEUTRAL OPTION

The concept is interesting. A visual storytelling ala Point-&-Click. Not much to tell.

The first chapter is pretty captivating since you're fresh to the world and story. Got me kinda spooked, but its charm wore off pretty quickly by the start of Chapter 2, which leads to my biggest issue of the "game" or story. The game has "Psychological Horror" and every soylent-grade Redditor-tier horror lover seem to think is a quality horror story.

It's in no way shape or form, a horror story yet. The second chapter is nothing more than a jumble of memories from our narrator. Just memories about slaves being lynched or about this one feller' he knew. I understand the devs and writers are trying to go for the morbid and dark imagery, but there is nothing to show for or to compliment what is described to us by our narrator. Give me more scares, make me feel anxious. I got spooked at times with clever choices such as stopping all atmospheric and environmental background noises for no reason, or hearing footsteps out of the blue. These are good tactics that play on my expectations of what I've come to be accustomed to in horror games.

TL;DR:
it's a semi-unnerving experience, for 2 dollars you'll be treating yourself to a peek at a rare and almost forgotten medium of horror games. Needs a lot more work because the 2nd chapter sucks

Classic PS1 style graphics horror game. It is EXTREMELY short, like 20 minutes at most. Reasonably priced imo, and worth the play. Gonna keep an eye on this guy if he ever makes another title later down the line.

It's most definitely a rough game. Lacks in visuals, most definitely in mechanics, and it needs a REALLY HEAVY polish.

I will warn you, this game is buggy. Not to mention the design for the antagonist herself lacks a bit of creativity.

Nonetheless, it can be fun but you need friends or other people to play this game. Otherwise it's just a much more basic Slenderman the 8 pages.

I like to think optimistic of games like this and want to see them more as diamonds in the rough. There's some good potential for a game like this, and I hope the devs stick with it.

As for you, the customer? If you don't mind bugs, the fact that there aren't a lot of online lobbies, the graphics are off and just not enough mechanics to make this a memorable experience, then go for it. It's 5 dollars, you won't break the bank and it's a cheap thrill. If you don't feel confident with it then don't get it and save yourself the money.

Devour in my opinion is a much better option if you want something with more development and upkeep (and it's 5 bucks too).

Financially responsible choice for my bois with the tight wallets.

Scary from just the simple atmosphere, these small and narrow corridors, the janky control and feel of the movement, and the way the game just forces you to simply ditch your plans on being methodical makes this a very tedious but suspenseful ride.

It can be a little monotonous, since the game setting is a maze. Which means running in circles most of the times, but when you try to be careful and organized on how to progress forward the game will throw you a wrench by making you run for your life. You also don't lose progress when you die, so it's a nice punishment without trashing how far you've come.

10 dollars, constantly being updated, far more content down the pipeline, and it does it's job rather well, why not get it?

You looking for a pretty unique take on the Viking experience? Not sure if this game is worth it?

Let me throw you in some facts:

-As of the time I'm writing this, there's over 2 million players and 50,000 positive reviews for this game. It's in "Overwhelmingly Positive" and it barely has two weeks on steam.

-The developers are a team of LITERALLY 5 people.

Now, for some contrast:

-Ubisoft spent over 100 million in the triple AAA title "Assassin's Creed Valhalla", which is supposed to be a viking game. The reviews for Valhalla can't even compare to this game.

A team of 5 nerds with a dream and ambition trumped a multi-billion dollar golliath with thousands of employees and dozens of multi-million dollar backers on who can make the more authentic Viking experience.

You take your pic bud, but the day Valhalla let's me build a fortress next to the beach, lets me have me and my friends fight a giant water snake on our cool viking boat with arrows and harpoons, AND actually gives us fun enemies to fight-... Who am I kidding, just buy this game. You won't regret it.

Get some friends, raise a drinking hall, fight giants, have boat races on the awesome waves iof this amazing nordic sea, get drunk on a discord call and raid some dungeons like an authentic viking.

Dude, it's just fun.
