The game does have an issue with bots but if you play on community servers they are almost non existent.
This was the first game i have ever played on steam and its also one of my favorites.

Im not sure if i would recommend it in its current state (since most new players see play button and casual and they just queue and have 0 idea what community servers are) but with the bot problem fixed and maybe a major update once a year i think it would be perfect and i would recommend it.
