Was a really cool fun and simple game. Cannot recommend since Epic's takeover.

While I do recommend this item, it should be noted that this is not for everyone, and most of the "not recomended" reviews are people who didn't bother checking if it was compatible/good for them.

Like mentioned at many places, it is important to have a reliable connection between the computer host and the Steam Link, which wired connection is simly the best option, else if you cannot deliver such connection, make sure to use a 5G Wifi connection and have it as close to the router as possible. If your connection setup is not reliable enough, the Steam Link is not for you.

Second, you also need a reliable computer which is capable of streaming your games. Usually, a decent GTX graphic card (or equivalent AMD) is good enough, but the best way to be sure, and what I highly recommend doing, is the following: Install steam on a secondary computer that is not your gaming/host computer, login with your same ID as your main computer and make sure the network connection is reliable (like mentioned earlier above), and give a try to the in-home streaming option which will automatically appear in your library (if you don't do something wrong that is). The experience you have while streaming your game should be the same as the Steam Link.

Last thing worth mentioning, it's always more reliable to just connect an HDMI cable to your computer to TV, and if you need a long cable you can just find 1 on eBay for much cheaper than the Steam Link, however, when your computer and TV is too far from eachothers, that's where the Steam Link is worth giving a try.

The Steam Link is a good product, the good setup does not come with it and you should plan that before buying it. It does what it says, it streams games from your computer.
