Democracy prevails!
The game has a satisfying progression system, in which you can feel powerful even with the starting weapons!
It is generally a fantastic game, and props to Sony for owning the mistake.

*I put money into this game's microtransactions *

In short, I like the game, it is one of the only card collecting games that I would actively recommend, you fight, you lose, you fight, you win, you get more gold, you spend on a pack to get better cards and badda bing badda boom you've got yourself a championship level deck before you know it... If you are willing to but 15 quid into it. If you don't want to pay, you don't have to, only the game will be much slower to progress, this may make the game more rewarding, mind you.

I will now list the characters I play, and their strengths/weaknesses:

Songhai - REALLY NICE ANIMATION - A little underpowered at first.

Abyssian- REALLY OP CARDS - Holy mother of jesus this thing is weaknessless.

Songhai - ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SOME NICE SPELLS - still just feels a little under powered.

Vetruvian- ASSHAT TO COUNTER - slow starter.

Songhai - Did the devs make it underpowered for a reason?

Magmar - YOUR MINIONS ARE LITERALLY IMMORTAL - yeah nah pretty neat all round, mind you, weak to itself and abyss.

Songhai - Why do I try?

Lyonar - ZEAL AND CELERITYT - eh, ok, minions lack a bit but once you get your celerities in with zeal you're good.

Songhai - I could just go Abyssian, why don't I go abyssian.

Abyssian - Yeah crap I sold all my good cards.

Songhai - HOLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OH YEAH COMBOHAI IMMORTALITY - yeah, easily countered though.

Songhai - BY WHO?

Songhai (After a number of competitive matches in a higher rank) - Literally everyone.

CALL 0800 - SAVEASONGHAIMAIN to donate 15 pounds to me to get a working deck.

But yeah the game's alright.

Rocket league is a good game, to put it simply.

TL;DR at bottom.

I find myself drowsily siting at my desk on a saturday night talking with a friend on Discord, pondering over which game to play.

Having skimmed through all 306 games in my library, I can't see much on offer than we both feel like playing.
THIS is where sprocket log comes in.

It's the kind of game that you can't not be in the mood for, you may not actively crave it, but when nothing's available, it's the go-to rocket powered - car driving - goal scoring - boost stealing - OHH SO CLOSE-ing - frequently missing - football/soccer-them-up.

The controls are intuative, and it's easy to pick up. Getting good takes practice but there is definitely a sence of progression.
There are no hidden skills that someone of a higher level than you unlocks, simply that they have had experience.

I appreciate the changeable camera angles, as I am a man of huge FOV.

Trickshots are hard enough to pull off that they are cool and rare, and where football manager-vroom vroom edition picks up the slack in that these shots would usually go unnoticed, there is a scoring system that gives a personal score to each player.

You recieve points for:
Bicycle hits
Goals
Shots on goal
Saves
Epic saves
Playmaking
and more.

This gives the support player a reward, not just the scorers of the team being praised.

The matchmaking is decent, but losing ranks is fast, and gaining them can be sluggish.
A few seasons ago I did my placements and I won every single one by forfeit.
I got Challenger 2, this isn't very high at all.

Only negative would be the people you will come across, who will leave mid match after they don't carry their weight having said that his team mates are bad.

TL;DR

Pretty good game for when you don't want to play anything else, but also a good game for bingeing on over the weekend.

Great game when I last played it, even so much that I put real money into it, however with the data transfer issue that I missed, because frankly, who expects a video game to have a deadline to meet to be able to keep your data. I lost my account, and subsequently the 25 odd quid that i put into cosmetics. I understand that the user data couldn't be transferred without consent, and the data needed to be deleted by a certain time legally, but it would be easy enough to credit the steam account that launches the game. Good game, stole my money. 0/10

This game is a masterpeice, I am writing this review way after i finished the game but nonetheless i would like to write about how great this game was. I was excited for the game for a long time, even before full release i believe, and i was right to. the re-wiring mechanics were a great idea and the different paths you may take are nice, inclusive of the hundreds of ways you can execute a level. overall this game was a masterpeice, just get it .(sorry for grammatical deterioration as the review went on, i was slowly fallng asleep, it's late... ok.)
