Unexpected quit-outs or crashes can corrupt your save file. Occasionally it is not recoverable. Why was this never fixed

This game is not strictly pay-to-win, but you WILL achieve upgrades to your cards slower if you don't pay money. There are also timed elements, e.g. daily quests to hook you into playing more.

I had fun learning the mechanics and trying different modes but got bored after the novelty wore off. Maybe you'll like it, at least for a short while.

- When you play a match, you have two ways to play: pore over all the possible ways every card type could interact with the board state each turn... or go wild and accept the possibility of some unforseen mechanical interaction ruining your game plan.

- Deckbuilding is shallow (7 basic cards plus one Rival card). Each basic card can have 1 of 8 abilities. Each card is categorized into an element, but there's very little difference between them. The unique effects of Rival cards make it a little more interesting.

- The single-player dungeon side mode is even more complicated and random. Not much to say about it.

I wish this game was good. It looks great, and I love that it fleshes out the Aether world with new species/characters. Check out the official Tales of Aether comic. :)
