Pretty similar to Army of Ruin, SS will require mild amounts of brain power to pick your upgrades, but there's plenty of depth to your loadouts for a survivorlike.

Good for one handed play, and perfect for podcasts.

Similar to but better than Vampire/Soulstone Survivors, Army of Ruin offers 559 challenges to complete, unique weapons, perks, and other upgrades, and is immensely satisfying. Presentation is also 10/10 with the best UI I've seen for any of these bullet heaven games.

Update: after the developer fixed the bug, the game is no longer crashing so I'm redoing my review.

This is basically a first draft of Vampire Survivors. Same concept, similar execution, less depth. The main innovation is the use of self-triggered legendary items, including a monster attack and an XP magnet. At this time, you can only use 4 weapons and 4 items at a time. The weapons have an advanced evolved form, but there are no synergies that I found.

So, there's not really enough here to recommend it over VS or some of the other copies, but it's a fine game as it is, and hopefully the developer adds more content and variety. 6/10

Visually it does the job and I want to love it, but it's basically unplayable with normal controllers. If you have some kind of paddle/spin knob that grants you precision control, it might be more fun.

Do NOT buy this if you just want to play retro arcade games. Many of them are broken, and most are inferior novelties based on the classic, but they're not executed well enough to stand on their own.

The real fun of Arcade Paradise lies in the business management aspects of the title, and the story of running an arcade against the will of your father. You'll want to finish it to finally prove him wrong. It's also weirdly satisfying to do laundry and pick gum off the seats.

6.5/10 - definitely worth your time but not for the reasons you'd expect

Developer can't be bothered to add achievements but had plenty of time to make DLC.

Had potential but abandoned by devs. Don't waste your money.

Maybe this game hasn't aged well but I can't get past the crashing, bugs, and awkward interface.

Easily the best deck-building game I've played since Slay the Spire. Simplifying the presentation while doubling down on the card theme, Aces & Adventures is accessible and balanced, even with the added RNG.
