Persona 4 Golden is my practical return to the JRPG market and what a return it was.

This game is something that I enjoyed immensely from start to finish. I had my qualms at the start because I was hesitant about the timed nature to finish the game, but it made it flow wonderfully from start to finish.

As old as it is, it places you within a world that imprints itself on you and makes your choices feel palpable. The gameplay is nice and not incredibly innovative, but you do feel genuine emotion at some of the twists it brings in the story.

I've enjoyed all of the characters and their Social Links, finding their growth as you connect with them well-written and occasionally surprising. Just like making friendships in high-school, I got a similar feeling during my first playthrough of the game.

As someone who graduated high-school a few years ago, I can vividly recall the nights out with my friends and the afternoons we spent together. The memories I have from P4G resonate soundly with my own. True to life, it's a heartwarming story of growth that doesn't hesitate to include the bitter parts too.

If you have the time, I'd easily recommend Persona 4 Golden - discounted or not. 10/10.

P.S. Atlus please bring the other Persona games to Steam too.

This game is really good, in my opinion.

I loved the world and all its characters, they all feel unique and interesting in their own right. The way they interact with one another and all the various possible events and results are beautifully crafted.

Beautiful Glitch really did a fantastic job with Monster Prom and it shows for how little it costs. It's a work of love that has received its rightful share of attention from a loving community. I've also played the sequel and their writing holds up.

Some people might complain that the two DLC characters introduced are of "lower quality", but I certainly thing they're worth it. Zoe and Calculester are just as interesting as the original six, following through with their reveal in the base game. I was initially slightly put off too, but I looked back later as a personal aversion to hyper-fans. It was important to remember that the characters are charming caricatures of tropes skillfully meshed together.

I'd say the game is worth it at it's base price, but a practical STEAL when it's discounted as it often is. 10/10.

Do you like salt?
If not and you have this game, too bad.

It's beautifully made and designed, nice graphics and decently simple when it comes to gameplay.
Good 'ol WASD and mouse clicks.
The first boss was nice and refreshing to the typical.
The second one was a nice 'up in difficulty and intensity.
The final was the saltiest thing I've ever done.
