A worthy successor to the nostalgic Starfighter: Disputed Galaxy, as well as the space exploration/combat genre in general. This game is a massive overhaul to almost every aspect of S:DG, and I highly recommend it to anyone, regardless if they have played the original or not.

This game balances the return of the old, such as old ships, weapons, mechanics (like hyperspace, sector exploration, stations, missions) with the addition of the new, with a plethora of new ships, gear, the addition of many new star systems, mechanics such as hacking, NPC races, factions/territories, jump gates, and so much more.

As others have mentioned, runs extremely well on older machines, no latency issues, and has a wonderful sound track and sound effects, many of which match the original.

AI are much more challenging, missions are more detailed, roles are more specialized/more options for every play style, the dev listens to a ton of player feedback to make changes and additions, and has plenty of ideas for upcoming additions.

PVP and co-op are fun, albeit sometimes unforgiving for inexperienced players-however it definitely adds an exciting challenge to the game.

The only downside is the occasional bug, which is never very serious, but it’s in early development and the dev fixes things pretty quickly once they are pointed out.

10/10, this game is worth every penny.

Definitely one of the best open-world survival games i've seen. Beautiful mechanics, hilarious gameplay, and many in-game items. The only problem is the map size.

9/10 died via moldy water. I guess that's a thing.

One of the most creative sandbox games out there. Personally I have experienced no bugs/crashes at any time. The devs work hard to push out new updates (almost weekly) that Include new items, functionality, and customizability to the world. They even listen to the community for ideas/inspiration. (solar panels, wheel blocks :D) Definitely worth the money. Could use some optimization/more graphics settings for people who don't have top-of-the-line computers.

11/10 crashed a ship into an asteroid within first 5 minutes.
