This game was a pleasant surprise, didn't really expect much. It quenched my hunger for a street racing experience, there isn't anything quite like it so i recommend it. :)

The game is great, game play is what you expect, and has a satire tone that anyone can get behind.

Regarding the controversy, i waited until it blew over to comment. I honestly do not care as long as it does not effect the core elements of the game that players have came to enjoy. This is what happens when you spoil your player base and let them have whatever they want. They throw a tantrum and cry and wine about things that quite frankly won't effect them.

I'm not saying what PlayStation did was okay, it's clearly a in-justice but if you care that much then boycott the publisher not the developers.

tldr:
Just play the damn game.

Fix the damn game, having constant issues with the game.
Issues I've been having:
Errors Retrieving current version
RoboCloud Error
Black Screen whenever testing robots.

if you want to waste your time on a free game, this is the game for you.
