A very fun remake with tons of replayability. RE4 Remake is mostly faithful to the original but unfortunately doesn't include what feels like a third of the areas that were in the original 2005 version. It does add some new areas, alongside of course with some changes to the environments it does have, but doesn't make up for what wasn't included. Despite that, it still has plenty on offer for new and old players.

The remake's gameplay is overall faster and smoother while still having subtle tank controls as to not deviate from the original's gameplay too much. I recommend playing on hardcore for your first playthrough unless you're new to action games in general, as it gives a sense of barely surviving by the skin of your teeth with each encounter.

I appreciate that this remake is different enough to be recommended to new and old players alike. You should definitely check out the original 2005 version if you enjoyed what was on offer here.

Decent chapter but attaching a cosmetic doesn't justify nearly doubling the price. Very scummy.

Fun game with questionable DLC practices. You don't need to spend any more money than the initial buy in to do well but it helps tremendously to get some of the DLC. You can easily sink hundreds of hours into this game but it can be miserable if you let the community's toxicity get to you.

I can run around and piss people off by punching the guns out of their hands and running away right after, it's fun

Playing this game in 2024 as a new player just isn't worth all the hassle. You can't talk or even use the in-game voice commands unless you buy something from overpriced in-game store. Even if you did, you'd have to deal with..

1. Cheating aimbot bots that flood servers, effectively making it near impossible to play matchmaking during certain times of the day. Bot waves come and go but at the time of editing this review, it's been especially awful.

2. Just plain old cheaters that are blatant with their cheats since they know Valve won't do anything about them. Some cheaters party up with their goons, effectively making them immune to the vote kick system.

3. Racists and bigots. I'm personally not particularly sensitive to a slur being said or an offensive phrase being used on someone but for whatever reason, TF2 attracts an overwhelming amount of these people. In-game, you can rename weapons and items that you have and add decals to signs and certain cosmetics and... well, you can probably guess the creative names these people give to their items.

Hate it. Really confusing building. Would rather bieber

I really don't understand the hate on this game. My computer is so old, yet the game runs perfectly with no lag, no crappy controls like the mobile versions (Blockgun 3D, all that crap), and it's fun.
