I've been somewhat addicted to this game since launch, it has its issues but its sitting under 2 weeks since launch so it's still early days. The focus of building a character set around how you like to play is executed fairly well, the crafting system is well built and the trading post can be a goldmine for powerful gear and getting an early lead. My advice for new starters is stick to a build early, focus gathering skills, find shrines and settlements ASAP and finally just to always check the trading post for gear and resources.
