An absolutely amazing game with a lot of clear love and attention poured into it by its developers that is kneecapped by predatory DLC practices and a rushed release. I believe Capcom will make good on the promise of improved performance, and in my experience I have been able to hold a solid 60 fps in most situations with a 3070 on high settings, ray tracing off. This performance varies widely between "pretty good" for some and "unplayable" for others.

However, the DLC practices implemented in this game is horrid and there is no doubt it's due to corporate meddling and higher ups from Capcom. The fact that it was not only hidden until release that these items would be sold for real money, but DRM was added to the game to stop modders from adding their own "cheat codes" or quality of life additions is clear that they want to funnel players into spending additional money on this already $70 game. I do want to be clear that the items found in the DLC shop ARE obtainable, if not a little rare, in game. These items are simply a catch for those who are easily frustrated and have the extra money to ease their experience.

Overall, the game is beautiful, fun, and immersive in a way a lot of games I've recently played are not. If Capcom makes true on their promise to enhance performance on PC, it will stand at the apex of action rpgs this generation. However, I implore everyone to not partake in purchasing the DLC items to not incentivize this behavior for their future releases and to continue to be vocal about this inherently greedy practice.

Originally I had returned this game in frustration on launch day. I decided to repurchase after some positive experiences shared by a friend and Aspyr finally making a statement. I've played 4 near flawless matches via instant action and having a blast. Glad to see Aspyr is taking this seriously and implementing meaningful changes! Would love to have the full Battlefront Community on a single title. PLEASE ADD CROSSPLAY

Changing my review to not recommended. This game was a gem among a sea of crap, but Sony has ruined the reputation for the community. Requiring all players to either agree to Sony's terms of service and give their personal info to the company in order to make an account related to a console they don't even use MONTHS after release or lose access to the game is diabolical. I really hope they roll this decision back after the backlash, but I am holding my breath. For now, I plan on getting a refund. The damage has been done.

Great game. Only thing that sucks about it is my friend Austin. He just blasts to the mythic age and makes a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ titan. What are we supposed to do?? Balance is not a factor in this game. Titans are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lame. We all tried ganging up on him but it was futile. Don't buy if you have any self respect.

This game isn't just great for old head fighting game players, but it's an amazing overall fighting game system tutorial. If you have been trying to get into fighting games, this is a FANTASTIC way to start for understanding basic concepts that can translate to almost any other game. For 5 bucks, this game is a STEAL. The mod scene is fantastic as well - with stages, characters, and even entire overhauls for ranked play. Definitely going to end up one of my GOTY contenders. It's a cheap hidden gem like Vampire Survivors originally was.
