The art style is incredible. Some environments will make you put down your gamepad for a moment and appreciate the finer details.
The soundtrack and ambient noise set the atmosphere right, particularly in later areas and boss fights. Simply listening to the background music will make you feel emotional.
Each of the bosses feels unique, except for the final one. Its design underwhelmed me a little bit. Given the previous section's tone and numerous foreshadowing, I was expecting a more grotesque creature.
The difficulty is manageable. Without using any guides, I finished the game and obtained every achievement in 30 hours. A great Metroidvania rewards you for exploring, and this game does exactly that.
My most frequently used spirits are eagle and doggo. Best companions.
Must protect Lily at all costs.

Absolute chaos on higher difficulties, a must-play if the Salmon Run mode in Splatoon is your kind of thing.

A game bought on steam now requires an epic games account to play. Wonderful.

I hate wisps.

If you are a fan of the metroidvania and rouge-lite genres, you are in for a treat! The fluid combat and the constant updates easily make it the best early access game I've ever played.
