After finally getting access to the CS2 beta I conclude: I regret getting access to the CS2 beta

- Snipers are unplayable feels like the flick-mechanic was changed
- Sound-localization is somehow really off, but in a weird way
- Damage-communication is at best non-existent
- Sprays are absolutely random as far as I can work out
- Movement feels like your model is heavier than your mom and lumps around every corner
- No need to learn complicated smokes anymore since no one-way works anymore
- Skins look good tho

General:
Firstly, I want to say that in previous souls-like games the primary emotions I felt were anger, hatred and the strong urge to throw myself out of the window. With this however, the primary emotion is actual enjoyment because Steelrising is actually quite player-friendly and does not try to make the player commit a hate crime after the first boss (hope youre reading this Dark Souls III).

Performance:
I also did notice, that some players are experiencing performance issues, although their hardware should be more than able to handle the game. Personally I did not encounter any performace issues whatsoever although I am playing on high graphic settings and my PC is a relative ancient potato compared to these i9 RTX whatever beasts.

Gameplay:
So, actually this game feels a lot like Greedfall on hardest difficoulty (which was insanely good btw) and much less like a Souls-clone. Which is a good thing. The balancing seems well done, the bosses are just challenging enough to get you a bit frustrated, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ proud when you eventually nail them. The attack patterns and all are reasonably easy to learn, some more, some less.

Scenery:
A beauty to behold. Lovely little details, great character design, just a bit too dark, but only very occasionally.

Constant game-freezes every about 10 minutes, 4 years after release still performing like a pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
PC requirements exceeded by far btw.

Original idea, good implementation, exactly the right dose of ♥♥♥♥♥♥-upness.If one is looking to experience a 15-20 minutes horror "game", one should buy this.But: since it is a test, the replay value is not that great. Obviously.BUT if one playes it, one should really play it with headphones. Or one is a bloody ♥♥♥♥♥.
