The punchline of 343's biggest joke.

Halo 4 was a cheap copy of call of duty
Halo 5 was riddled with monetization and toylike designs

And when halo infinite arrived, promising a return to form and dangling the old Mk VI armor over us, We got played like fiddles.

As a tech preview tester of this game, I should have seen the signs:

Their inability to add in a team slayer mode in matchmaking for MONTHS after it released and blaming it on "UI limitations"

The shameless abuse of FOMO tactics in the events and store

The complete lack or broken version of forge, custom games, and theater.

The uninspired or just, Inapproprate armor design

The horrendously pretentious writing.

And let's not mention the piles and piles of lies broken promises that circulated before this game launched

During a short time I considered going back, to check out the recently added forge, only to find out they had the absolute nerve to slap a 20 dollar price tag on the original Mark V armor. Which is a complete spit in the face to older fans.

Infinite proved to me that developers care more about their investors than you, they care more about making the most noise at E3 than making a lasting product, and they will lie, cheat and screw you over to make sure it gets as much sales on launch day as possible, and then leave it on life support a year later.

If you can't see how absolutely scammed youre getting, then this is the game you deserve

It's an okay game in a vaccuum. But people kept overhyping it as some sort of love letter to F.E.A.R when it doesn't have any of the horror elements as well as a lackluster AI. They did move around a good bit, but there were no attempts to flanking or following me into the next area or generally anything to actually keep me on my toes. Sometimes they would bunch up in hallways and just make themselves a bigger target

To compare, F.E.A.R's AI are leagues ahead of modern shooters. Outmaneuvering you, flanking you, flushing you out. They pose a serious challenge.

Not to mention the gameplay only seemed to cater to half of what it promises, the nice thing about F.E.A.R is that you could either go in with methodical precision, or just John Wick it.

In Trepang you can't even lean around corners.

If you want a fun arcade shooter then go right ahead, it's fun if you see it that way, but if you expected to re-experience the same combat you got in F.E.A.R, you might be disappointed
