Remember that cartoon that showed late at night where this one dude/dudette woke up in an mmorpg and couldn't log out? Posing the questions why he/she was stuck, why she/he couldn't remember anything, and if she/he was even a user in the first place and not an NPC. Enticing the audience to question themselves whether they weren't in a virtual simulation less complex than actual reality where the character watched cartoons late at night, played video games, and questioned the viability of their existence, all for the entertainment of a higher sentient form. Yeah... that show was dumb.
