It definitely scratches the itch for survival city building. The game is punishing but the learning curve supported by the different difficulties really makes it a smooth entrance.

Where anyone is an adventurer and the world is your journey, Last Oasis plays on the feeling of trying to survive in a hostile world where you don't know if the next person you meet will be your best friend of a knife in the back.

Group play makes the skill progression alittle smoother to start, but you quickly get to a point where you can get as many knowledge fragments as you could want. Good pacing and a fair balance between farming and exploring and crafting leave the game feeling more complete than its Pre-Alpha title suggest.
