A REALLY angry Dota 2 Player
Since more than 1 year, I am not purchasing any items from the shop. Before that I spent around 500$ on custom items Arcanas, etc... But after a while, I decided that I can't keep a Main Account anymore. So I sold all my items and bought some games instead. And now I play Dota 2 without a main account. Why? Well, because I create a new account at least 5 times a day to play Dota 2 so I can leave games. And I am not talking about "Leaving cause there is no Surrender". No. Sometimes I have to leave games even if my team wins.

But why? First you'd think "hey this guy wants a Surrender Option" so he that's why. This is a work around he came up with". Well, that not wrong, but this is definitely not the main reason. The main reasons I want to play Dota 2 by leaving game are the followings:

1- No team? Forget Dota!

Dota 2 is a team game. If you have a team and play team games, there's no problems whatsoever. You can even surrender typing GG. But if you are playing in PUB Games, oh man. The experience is Terrible. TERRIBLE! First it takes around a total of 8 min to find a game, pick heroes and start the battle. And 60% of the time, the game you waited for around 10 min will be spoiled by someone who discs or can't even load.

Let say the game started. Now starts the fight about who will buy a courier. Insults will rain. "noob your hero is sup! buy courier!" and it will get worse if players respond to each other even more aggressively.

Then comes the lane problem. 4 of the 5 guys want mid. And surely one of the guy is ready to "mid or feed". Let say that you avoided that, now comes the "who will last hit". Supports should serve carries while carries play the game. That's how this game works. When a new game starts, 2 guys are suppose to serve the others. Obviously, no one wants to do that. Is that their fault? No. Why should one not kill creeps and just watch another player play the game? This is terribly counter intuitive. So no one, of course, will do so in a Pub game.

Don't get me wrong. If you're a pro and are in the Internationals, you will let your carry farm, and serve him because at the end you will earn 6.5 million dollars!

Forget 6.5 millions! Give players 10 dollars per game, and see how they support like pros! Other than that, why would one want to sup a random team, made of random players...?

So as you see, the very mechanics of Dota 2 are not made for Pub games. Most of the time you will see 5 carries vs 5 carries. A courier bought cause one of the carries really need it. You will rarely see wards.

So when a game becomes unplayable because a team has no synergy, you just want to leave.

2-Snowball

Let say that you encounter a rare occasion and there is a balanced game. Well, now come the "Player skills" problem. Dota 2 matches players according to a general MMR. Not according to how a player plays each Hero. Therefore it's highly likely that one or two players won't be playing the hero they picked properly for some reason. Maybe they just wondered about that hero and want to try it, or they want to do the Hero challenge. Whatever. These players will feed. 80% of the games you play you see at least one player with a very low score. Something like "1-7" or even "0-14".

This means that one Hero in the other team is over fed and is snowballing, making it clear that they will win the game soon. You don't wanna play such a game. So you leave.

But that's not all. Even when your team is winning cause there's one guy who has 15 kills at the 15 min game time, you realize that you are useless in the game, and again you want to leave cause what you do doesn't matter anymore.

3-People

And finally, one reason you want to leave a game is the people you play with. Even if your team is winning, when you realize that your playing with a team made of "a55hles" you want to leave the game immediately.

You know, the player who keeps ordering others around with like "I go mid", or "rune me me!". You last hit an enemy, this guy will insult you so badly that you'd rather see the other team win than the team in which you are.

And this happens a lot in Dota 2. Let's make this clear. You can't expect 5 random humans to team up and get along well and play properly. And even worse, you really can't expet 5 random humans from different countries to get along. Especially if they don't even speak a common language or are from different cultures or age.

That's just how humans are. They don't like other countries, they don't like people, they don't like old people, young people, different colors, different point of views, etc. And when toxic behaviors start to ruin the game, you just want to leave, regardless if you're winning or losing.

--------- According to the above, I left many games that i was not only winning, but carrying. In one day, I leave around 7-8 games. And play only 1 decent game.

But how can this change? I mean, it would be cool to have a main account where I can again customize my heroes, and have proper stats. Instead I have more than 100 fake accounts. Nearing the 200 now.

When low priority penalties wear off, I come back to the first one and start over. It's not really fun. But it's the only way if you want to leave games.

------------------- How can this be avoided? Simply with a casual version of Dota 2 for casual players.

Dota 2 definitely needs a fast more intuitive version for casual players. Something like "Easy Mode" of the old Dota.

Removing every aspect of the game that brings toxic incentive should be removed.

- Players fighting for a courier? Easy mode should already have a purchased courier.

- Last hits should be shared in a radius with all heroes, creeps or enemy heroes.

- Gold loss should be removed so players don't start to blame each other when dying.

- More gold per second, Towers with less HP so the games go faster.

- Diminishing Returns on XP and gold gain from a Hero who dies consecutively too many times.

and many other elements can be fixed to remove stressful gameplay experiences and render the Dota community less toxic.

PS: Since I play with a new account every time, here's something I noticed:

There are no noobs in Dota 2. I can say without exaggeration that in 100 games I played with a new account, I encountered only ONE new player who is trying out the game. Almost the totality of new accounts in Dota 2 are players with fake accounts. They all know the game perfectly well. You can easily see it when they pull, stack, use their heroes with as much skill as any player you play with your main account.

Seriously. Once I played a game with my main account, and there was a player with less skills then any player I play with my new accounts.

I don't know how you would describe this, but I definitely know that Dota 2 doesn't attract new players. All the new accounts are old players with fake accounts.

It's safe to say that there are no noobs in Dota 2.
