I backed this game when it was announced over Indiegogo. I was a huge fan of Skullgirls, specifically it's art design, gripping combat, and atmosphere. When I heard Lab Zero was making another game, and branching out to a different genre, I was as hype as could be.

$125 Dollars down and a few years later, the game comes out. I've beaten it all, and I think the title is good, but it has it's flaws.

What was good about the game:
- Fun Combat
- Interesting Character Profiles
- Main Story
- Cultural Influences
- Most of the voice acting
- Stunning Visuals

The game, in my opinion, was what I wanted it to be and satisfied my excitement. I'd happily play it again and spice things up... Though, the game has a few flaws.

What was... bad.
- Story Pacing
- Specific Platforming
- One or two voices
- Backtracking
- SIDEQUESTS
- Background/Backer Characters

The story pacing gets better as the game goes on, but in the beginning, it's awkward. The main protagonist, Ajna, is built up as a kid who trains, but is somewhat lazy and lax. These traits are then thrown against a wall and watered down with childish arrogance (to be expected from an angsty teen) and short-lived sorrow (to be expected from basically no-one sane).
The game also has momentum with your walking cycle. If you don't walk far enough, you don't jump far enough, and this leads often to the player planting face-first in the ground. It's clunky, but once you get used to it, overlookable.
One of the voices didn't appeal to my ear. It wasn't great voice acting.
The game has you revisit environments, and revisiting, there are new parts to explore, but it usually requires going through a labyrinth you barely remember. I blame the team's inexperience with a metroidvania-esque style of gameplay. Bloodstained has this down. Indivisible does not.
Sidequests are poor excuses for extra content. The fights and encounters within them are meaningless and not challenging. The only reason to do them is more story to the Incarnations, and for completion-kudos.
The backer characters are a necessary evil for the game to even exist, but they do come off as intrusive to the environment, and talking to them yields no essential information besides NPC-chatter. Some NPCs are not backer characters, but are critical to sidequests that are already tedious. Were it not for the map, these NPCs would be near impossible to flag down.

Despite the criticisms, the games music, addicting and satisfying gameplay fighting, atmosphere, quirky dialogue, fun puzzles, and memorable characters have made up for it ten fold. If you're easily invested in epic-style stories, Indivisible is no exception, and is a fun title to grab. It's basically a very long Fighting Game campaign with metroidvania stages in between combat. Saying it out like that sounds cool enough to me to pick up. I also gotta justify 125 bucks somehow. I'm hoping the additional content and further patches fix some of the games subtle issues. I can't stop playing it.

It's definitely worth $40, though.

Some friends of mine told me about this game, how it had lovable characters and gentle gameplay, and I must say that this game felt like a book to me, but it was a great one!

I believe this visual novel is as interactive as it should be. Don't get this game if you're looking for fast-paced action, get it if you want to witness a story that has moved many hearts. The game is humerous, witty, and quite relatable to many real world situations.

Like I stated before, get this game if you want a great story!

Indivisible is a brand new, action packed RPG from the delightful company that brought us Skullgirls! It's currently under development, and needs help crowdfunding their game via Indiegogo!

Indivisible's combat system, unlike most 2D RPG's, is reminiscent of titles such as Valkyrie Profile, and that adds tons of entertaining combo-opportunities to the game! Each attack with each character feels extremely satisfying, and for those that love skullgirls, the hit-sounds will bring a satisfaction like no other! Give indivisible a try, and if you like it, please donate to the Indiegogo Campaign!
