This is a good game, a very fun game with awesome music and good gameplay that as far as difficulty is concerned, its on the level of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (just without obviously looking down on the players)

I like this kind of setting, very Secret of NIHM, the world beneath our feet. A tale of revenge and revolution.

Its good, I like the characters both main, supporting and antagonistic (even if some of the writing for some is eye roll inducing)

Now word of caution, this game's writing can be seen as "woke" HOWEVER. as someone who doesn't like woke writing, this one is good. Like its not completely without trying to show some sides of the argument, its more pro-left but not so much to ruin the experience.

The LGBT cast also doesn't ruin it, as their sexuality doesn't define who they are.

So yeah author if you are reading this, you did good on everything and I hope to see more.

Only real complaint is 2 things.

1. No way to track sidequests. The game is short and if you are focused its easy to remember your side objectives but maybe having a journal to track em and maybe have main characters thoughts about them could be nice
2. No achievements but as of writing there are plans for some in the future.

Other than that a solid game thats worth the 20 bucks if ya ask me. I certainly got my money's worth. The difficulty isn't too hard and the fights that are supposed to be hard can be beaten with either retooling skills or better planning, I never felt like the game was being unfair, it was all on me

A classic Trilogy for a nice price. With Flash basically dead, its nice to know we can come back to an old school classic.
Highly recommended especially around the Halloween Time

Its a good deal, two games for the price of one and at less of a price of a normal game.
Basically this game is Persona if it had a baby with Digimon and I think it does a good enough job with it. Plenty of gameplay, plot enjoyable not to mention with these ports they actually did a cool thing backporting the digimon from Hacker's memory which is the sequel to the original, so you have access to that.

If you are a fan of JRPG's and like digimon this is pretty good, difficulty is on par with a pokemon game in the sense if you know what you are doing and make sure to do maybe a bit of grinding everytime you digivolve (digivolving reduces level to 1) you should be fine

Now its not perfect by any stretch, but hey what game is. It is however considered by many digimon fans as a gold standard for digimon rpg's, something which I agree too. My only complaint is no english voice acting and if thats really my biggest complaint I think this game is doing fine ^_^

In case you are wondering, favorite digimon is of course the greymon line with good ol War Greymon, Terraforce for the Terra win heh heh

Edit: I would like to add one other thing, there are times where you might get a lot of slowdown out in the field. If this happens, save and restart the game. That usually fixes the slow run glitch, least for me

Edit Edit: So beat Hacker's Memory and got all the achievements of both games. Yeah good games, great value for your money for both games, and as far as completing it. Yeah have a guide out ready, as for Hacker's Memory end game, harder than Cyber Sleuth's almost to an unfair degree.

Still had a lot of fun getting them all

A Dark Game with simple gameplay, honestly its not for everyone. But for those who grew up with digimon who want a darker story (like even darker than digimon tamers) this might be good for ya. The tactical rpg is pretty easy, especially if ya get the other DLC and get guilmon and those buff equipment to the point you can auto battle.

But really its a come for the story, skip the gameplay type games. Its not bad, I do recommend it but remember if you do play it is a dark story and first time round, people will die.

Cheap and fun, first off you don't need to have played the first game to get all the references, it helps but they do a good enough job to recap at times. Second all achievements are unlockable no matter the route.

Finally this gameplay loop is enjoyable, a bit of a grind but if you keep at it, you can succeed. Yes plenty of early game hell, but keep at it, eventually you will win.

As for the plot, super enjoyable and super 80's I had a good time and in the end I really got interested in the world and the characters, despite it being a full parody they do a great job making you care.

And the sound track, top notch, like there are times I stop playing just to listen to some of the tracks, especially in the final stage area. If you love that 80's synth this game alone is worth playing for it.

Do I recommend it? Does punching in this game solve a lot of your problems. The answer is of course yes.

A terrifying game of true horrors and nightmares, with references abound, hard decisions, survival rationing food, medicine and mental stimulets this game hates you...and yet I love it.

I love the lore, I love the art, I love the story, and I love how when I succeed at something that victory was earned, even on the "easy mode" and yes there is an easy mode however it still won't save you from stupid decisions or bad luck.

If you are interested in the story of both games, I recommend Wormgirl's overview of both game's lore. Thats how I got interested in both games. And before ya ask, no you don't need to play the first to enjoy the Second

A great game if you are fans of Lisa, Dark Souls, Berserk, and pathalogic. its cheap, its actually fun despite the harshness and its obvious love and care went into both games. Top tier Indie Series

Its a good game. A good game that I fully completed cause I wanted to see the full story. However a few cavets.

This version while it does make some gameplay elements easier or more streamlined, like crafting and a few side quests not being quite as obtuse to trigger (see Deneb) there is the matter of the game limiting party levels. There are times in the game where you will hit a bit of a wall because of this. Don't give up, play smart and you can break through.

All in all, while I do believe Knight of Lodis is better (in my opinion of course) I can see fans of tactical rpgs enjoying this game for the challenge, the good story, and all around great presentation.

Hope we get a final fantasy tactics port/remake and maybe a port of Knight of Lodis, please oh god I need that back in my life.
