It starts off fun. It starts off being about positioning, target acquisition, and AC design. The fights are challenging, your choices matter, and it's just good.

Then, you fall off a cliff and suddenly the game is just farming credits to buy gear to look up a meta on YT and struggle. Choices no longer matter. In fact if you choose to do something other than the exact meta, you simply cannot progress.

Throw in a healthy does of hit box weirdness where you have to make a very narrow dodge or die, and you do, except today the bosses leg is wherever you happen to be. Pretty soon, the game starts to feel like a job.

I'm consistently impressed by the dev team. Rapid progress informed by the community.

The building system is deep without feeling completely lost as a beginner. I have yet to see a functioning game with the kind of detail possible in this.

If you like constantly shifting control schemes for no discernable reason; wonky controls on vessels which go wherever they want, again for no discernable reason; AI's which when told to fire all weapons only fire the most inappropriate weapons; having your field of view blocked by overly large control blocks with no option for a usable third person camera; and a learning curve that makes Eve Online look like happy fun-time frolicks; you'll love this. Otherwise, maybe save yourself the frustration.

Terrible. Slow loading times, full of grahics glitches, poorly implemented social elements, voice chat is spotty, and when it works the sound is poor relative to the rest of the game. Hugely pay to win, people with high "loadouts" will one shot others with pisols, while shotguns take 1-4 hits at point blank on low "loadouts".

Don't download, don't play. Unless, you know, you LIKE being shot when you aren't where the bullets are, and dying to P2Winners, waiting 2-3 minutes for a server to load you in only to be told it's "full" when you were the second person to try and load in. If that's your thing, go for it bud.
