Shamelessly greedy monetisation, the latest update made it even worse.

Lots of depth and fun gameplay, but you'll need to look things up as the game won't explain it too well.

Game is OK, I didn't find it as amazing as the hype made it out to be. However, the PC port is poorly optimised and there are little to no graphical improvements. If you like Halo a lot, you might be able to stomach it. If you're like me and aren't a huge fan already, wait for the port to improve before considering.

20 years after release, Thief is still one of the best stealth games of all time despite being the game that pioneered the genre.

Presentation
The sound design is fantastic and while the graphics are dated, the art style still holds up in my opinion. Combined with the unique and interesting setting, these aspects come together to build a world that puts many modern games to shame. The story is very good too, with a lot of it being told through subtlety or the environments you explore. The cutscenes are very well made and really get you immersed into the events that unfold as well as the lore.

Gameplay
The gameplay is solid, with decent controls and many tools at your disposal to aid your thievery. Enemies can detect you based on how visible you are and how much noise you make (both shown to the player through the light gem), so you will need to take things slowly as head-on confrontations don't usually end well. Level design is rather non-linear and sprawling, which makes it more believable and enjoyable to explore.

Summary
Overall, Thief is a classic gem and worth a try if you're a fan of stealth games. There can be a learning curve to Thief like many old PC games, but hang in there and you may end up enjoying it as much as I did. I recommend installing TFix[www.ttlg.com] to improve performance/compatibility on modern hardware and if the dated graphics bother you, there is also the HD Mod that improves the visuals whilst preserving the original art style.

Development discontinued, questionable balance and dying player-base. Despite these reasons among many to avoid Awesomenauts, I still think there's a lot of fun you can find in this game.

This is a roguelite with more emphasis on FPS gameplay. It has a wide range of weapons and upgrades which can be unlocked by playing the game more and there are multiple characters with different stats that freshen up the gameplay. The game isn't too hard on 'Normal' difficulty but it's a good challenge. However, I wish the game were longer as there are only 5 floors to crawl through unless you play on the 'Endless' difficulty. Overall it's a good game to pick up and play if you have an hour to waste.

Fantastic game, combines RPG and sandbox elements to make an amazing game which has built it's own identity over the years. This is a bargain for hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Edit: The modding community has exploded since this review was posted, now you can waste exponentially more hours by adding tons of user made content to an already vast game.

"Best FPS in my opinion. GET THIS GAME." - Myself in 2013
Game has since fallen off a bit but there's still a good time to be found in TF2.
