Pros:
beginner friendly. I haven't played too many fighting games, but despite that this one was easy to pick up and enjoy
looks amazing. Animations, models, shading, and so much more lend to the spectacular visuals of the game
decent depth. Having a low barrier to entry does not prevent it from allowing player skill tons of room to grow.
decently sized roster. A bunch of characters to choose from with more being added as DLC
patches. Game is still being updated at the time of writing this which large scale changes like multiple assists or how the Character select screen looks being changed.

Cons:
Characters feel quite similar. A lot of characters have very similar game plans, and just go about them a bit differently.

Rivals is a fresh take on the Platform Fighter genre that offers a lot of variety with the (by today's standards) small cast of characters it does have. Not only do the characters have unique move sets, but also varied looks, personalities, and back stories. If you're looking for a more competitive focused platform fighter Rivals is just that, and now with the addition of the workshop it has a lot to offer for more casual play.

Hollow knight is an amazingly beautiful, responsive, and immersive game that is a steal for $15.

The good:
-Expansive and well crafted non-linear world
-Responsive platforming and combat
-A wealth of content

Good/Bad depending on you:
-Hard difficulty
-Buried story (things aren't laid out for you)
-Can get lost at times
-Some secrets that are very hard to discover/figure out

The bad:
nothing comes to mind

It's a bit of a hack job, and there were some parts were the auto save ended up causing some difficulties (but I kinda enjoyed escaping from that loop.) I know my autosave experience was probably better than most (considering some people said they got completley trapped). There was a really fun escape sequence, and a cool moive reference as well.

I sware that I completed most of the tests with what felt like exploits, but for me that kinda added to the fun.

Yeah the voice acting sounds ameture, but I didn't mind too much.

Kinda a quick game, so maybe pick it up when it goes on sale.

The early game was so bad I'm just done with the game.

This is a good game, but the reason I'm not reccomending it is because I didn't enjoy it. I've seen so many people telling others to play this game, and I can kind see why, but at the same time there are people who aren't going to enjoy it, I was one of those people. If you like dating sims and horror then you might like this. I dislike both those things so I didn't, just something to conisder when reccomending this to someone.

First: you can't play with keybaord and mouse if you have a controler pluged in (or an adapter for that matter). Second: The controls are bad, not displayed well, and can't be rebound. Third: the game just drops you into a world with half of the things being locked by dlc and you have no idea what you're doing. I spent about 20 minutes looking up controls for very simple things.

There will be things out of your controll that will kill you.

There will be things you inadvertently did that kill you.

Overall you will die a lot. You can have the best run so far but one missed step can end it in a heartbeat. The tag "Difficult" it is given doesn't do it justice.

It might be cool or interesting later in the game but the tutorial is awful, at one part it tells you to do something and I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out how to do that thing, never did so I skipped the tutorial and am now hopelessly lost. A bad tutorial can ruin a game.

An innovative and fun game that has gaping flaws in it.

#1: Difficulty, there were some challanges and then there were some that needed a youtube guide, the game needs some sort of hint system.

#2: Puzzle pieces: These should have been a bonus and the levels should have been harder to get to the end of without the colletion of them, some levels were a straight shot to the next level with the pieces in puzzles around you. It was too easy to get through without the pieces and too hard with the pieces.

#3: Post game There are 8 stars you need to collect in order to get the second ending. There almost no way someone would just stumble upon a star or know how to get one without looking it up, I bet there are people who went through the whole game and never came back to it completley unaware of these stars. Some require waiting 2 hours others require you to have not completed the game yet. What's that, you have? Only option is to reset all of your effort if you want it. Had it not been for the stars I probably wouldn't have left a negative review but it was so glaringly obvious there was a better ending and I wanted to see it, but I already beat the game so I just looked it up.
