I was having so much fun with this game and it was rapidly becoming one of my favorites. The difficulty and pacing were top notch and there are options to play without the beat controls if you just want to get started.

However, the keyword here is WAS. SPOILERS AHEAD:

After beating the game with two different characters, you are FORCED to complete another run with a literal joke character. It is TEN TIMES WORSE than The Lost in BoI. It's the worst difficulty spike I've ever seen in a video game so far and it's required to beat the game. I no longer get any enjoyment out of this game. This should have been an optional character, not a required one, and especially not one thrust at you with no warning. Others have also complained about this. This is the fastest a game has ever lost my support. I'm just so disappointed with how it alienates players who simply aren't as skilled.
