Early Access Review
Joined a lobby.
Left to a eclipsed moon.
Stayed behind for literal second.
Got eaten by a giant dog right next to the ship door.
Good times were had.

With the FREE Noise update, the game has practically at least doubled in size and is well worth of it's money for all kinds of players, be it casual players aiming to see how far the game mechanics can go, to hardcore ones who want to get everything done, to the speedrunners aiming to master the game as fast as possible.
Along with a killer soundtrack, great visual designs and somewhat relatable protagonist that is Peppino (Noise is debatable) are what define this game and hopefully will inspire both gamers and developers for years to come.
Easily my indie game of the year 2023, and still lots of a good time sink in 2024.

As a fan of Dragonball, this was a perfect way for me to introduce myself to Dead by Daylight -style multiplayer.
My Finnish review of the game from December 2022 (game had been out for a month or so): https://youtu.be/cLwZLFYR2KU
It is easy to jump in for a hour or two of quick matches, then get back to whatever you were supposed to do on your day. Which is pretty nuts considering the game having limited player pool due to the lack of crossplay. Yet somehow we keep meeting people who have a lot of levels on a Raider that might've come out last week, even though you'd have to have at least half an hour of games as survivor to have even single game as Raider... and maybe get one level since you were outplayed by veteran Survivors.
The game has Battle Pass, cosmetics and other unlockables you CAN pay real money for, but most of the time you unlock stuff just by playing, especially when showered with regular EXP and Zen boost campaings.
You can't skip tiers on the Pass so to unlock anything from it, you have to simply play. Only P2W aspect of the game would be the gacha transformations, but even those can be opened with ingame currency.

Pros:
- The setting makes sense, taking place in Xenoverse continuation of DB series.
- Lots of references to DB series.
- Soundtrack delivers what it needs.
- When you get the good runs as Survivor/Raider. Mainly because of the matchmaking.
- Matchmaking? What is that? (as the time of writing)
- Game mechanics are simple to understand, yet satisfying to master.
- Just by playing you might never have to spend another cent on the game after initial purchase.
- Somewhat consistent updates to balance and gameplay.
- Some form of dedication to keep content coming in has been displayed.

Cons:
- NO CROSSPLAY (as the time of writing)
- Visuals are somewhat last gen-ish. I'm talking about PS3/Xbox 360-ish, not PS4/Xbone.
- Wonky connection from time to time. Not sure if the game is P2P or server-based.
- Matchmaking? What is that? (as the time of writing)
- When you get the bad runs as Survivor/Raider. Mainly because of the matchmaking.
- Game might feel grindy at times.
- No consistent content updates, only ETAs (as the time of writing).
- When playing in group smaller than 8 players, no one in group can't play as the Raider (as the time of writing). The lack of crossplay hinders the chances for custom games.

Final Verdict:
Game mainly has been targeted to the fans of Dragonball, especially ones with soft spot for Dead by Daylight -style of asymmetrical multiplayer games. If no further dedication is planned after initial purchase, I'd recommend waiting for a sale. Probably better pick for full prize with a larger group of friends, at least after cross-play may be introduced (as the time of writing)

Pros:
+ Best wizarding world experience ever
+ Faithful to source material to it's best extent while respecting some modern standards (as well as sticking to 1890's world view)
+ Each house has at least a bit differing quest lines
+ You can learn Unforgivable Curses despite your house through a single quest line
+ Combat is simple to pick up, satisfying to master
+ Well paced main story
+ Likeable characters for the majority of the cast
+ You're actually in Hogwarts and can visit Hogsmead
+ There's always something to do as you travel the area.
+ The base building in The Room of Requirement feels nice

Cons:
- No quidditch
- Very limiting gear inventory space
- The RNG element of gear drops
- Story ends kinda abruptly, no end credits or anything
- Ground mount should've been presented BEFORE flying one
- Performance issues. Can't run on true full screen, poor optimization, random framerate drops etc.

Final verdict:
8/10, will up to 9/10 if performance on PC will ever be fixed before a possible sequel.

Great gameplay for both beat'em'up and rhytm game fans, very pleasing visuals and audio, great cast of characters and clever writing, aside from pretty standard story. Post-game content looks promising and actually gives people their money's worth.
High recommendation here!

Early Access Review
Got intrigued by artstyle and premise, got it from sale, and fell in love with previously mentioned along with writing, gameplay and the potential (It's early access after all). Getting an actually broken build and running trough the game has never been this much fun in roguelike, I actually got my first clear in first 4 hours in live stream, by pure chance of that build that just melts everything.
The artstyle reminds me a lot of Rayman Origins/Legends, while being it's own delightfully demented thing.
Can't wait what more is in store, will most definitely recommend already with what we have now.

At first glance it looks like a rogue-like deckbuilder (Instant yes).
Afterwards... it gets really crazy with pretty much everything, while still keeping the deckbuilding and battling as the core mechanic. Goes meta really hard. Good amount of spooky scary, almost like a thriller.

Really wish this kind of card game would be made on even larger scale.

If the first one, despite all of its simplicity due to being 2d got you hooked, but left you to crave more, RoR2 is a game for you, unless you aren't a fan of 3d shooters. But even then the same spirit of the original game is here, constantly pushing you to work with what you get, tons of secrets to unveil and co-op (which I haven't had a chance to test yet, but I think it would be a blast with 3 other people).
Definitely worth of your and your friend's time for some roguelike fun.

Paras mahdollinen Battle Royale.
