Probably the best free to play game out there that gives you access to EVERYTHING (or at least 99% of the content) without paying a single penny.
Starting might be slightly boring, but once you reach 10-15 hours in the game thats when the good stuff happens, you'll discover how to do things and how much there is to the game.
Once you finish all the main quests you'll start trading like no tomorrow, making platinum is like doing cocaine.
Game is fun but there is a lot of grinding required and repetitive stuff so would not recommend to people who don't have lot of free time or just in general hate grinding. Otherwise go for it!

I'm sure it was a pretty fun game when this game was in it's prime time, though I was busy playing 1.6 at that time.
Right now the game is pretty much dead, cannot find servers.
Almost all servers are Russian, as someone living in ME I get 100+ ping on these servers.
If you play decently good on the servers, you instantly get votebanned.
Most servers are filled with BOTs due to lack of players, it's not fun playing against BOTs set on harmless difficulty (or so it seems harmless).
Right now the game is pretty dead, luckily I just bought the game since it was the only one missing in my CS collection :)

Loved the game before the steam version, loving it even more now with constant updates and DLC's, though I'm really hoping that a steam community workshop opens up for this game, would love to see user creations and easily install them with just 1 click :).
