I really want to recommend this games but the problems with it are too dire for me look over

Tremoundous amounts of grind. Every good part of the game is by default followed with a rigirous grind for resources you need to progres further. While this would be acceptable if done in small amounts the game expects you to grind for more and more resources for the same amount of progress you did at the begining.

Horrible research system. The whole research pool is filled with either gear upgrades, building decorations or other in most cases useless stuff making it getting what you need heavily luck depended.

The whole do something and wait x system feels like a mechanice lifted from a phone game where you can buy energy with cash to play more. While pacing the game gives greater gratification for the progres the player makes it makes will feel worse for people who can put more time into the game. What you want Iron ingots for armour, just put iron into the 3 furnaces you made just to wait less and go take a 20 minute nap. This whole concept is totally mental and shouldn't in the game if its only point is to make the player wait.
