Tons of fun with friends, clearly made with a love for the player and the experience. Every weapon is fun to use and you'll get more than your money's worth. Mowing down fields of bugs with your friends crying "FOR DEMOCRACY!!!!!" will never get more fun than this.

Cool game, active devs, cool art style and solid mechanics. I enjoy planning out attack or defense with my team before every round. Just needs more players!

Fun game even if you don't know anything about the original. All the weapons feel good to use, and the upgrades feel well-earned and give the weapons good functionality. The katana combat is also very satisfying, especially when you upgrade your abilities. It's not an overly complex game, but the environments and soundtrack do a lot to pull you in to the stereotype of Japan which it portray.

The story can be a little weak, but to its credit it does try to a be a little original, so it's not terrible. Lots of different environments in the game, and different enemy types as well.

There are some (mostly short) mounted gun sequences which I felt didn't add anything. As you get closer to the game's conclusion, there are probably 1-2 hours of unnecessary combat slaying waves of enemies. In an ~10 hour game, this is the biggest negative imo. But still, I had a lot of fun playing, upgrading my weapons and abilities, and it's a fun hack-and-slasher or shooter, or both. If you're in the mood for a game with simple mechanics and satisfying gameplay, this might be a good fit for you.

Fun free-to-play FPS with interesting antique weapons and game modes. Easy to pick up, a bit more difficult to master all the different weapons and playstyles. I've been playing for years, fun to come back to every now and then.

Played a long time back when it was popular. Had its fair share of issues, but was fun enough with friends to see past them. Dead game now, don't waste your time.

GRIS is a very pretty 4-hour experience. You aren't given any sort of story other than what you can read in the blurb on the store page, but there really isn't any need for one. The atmosphere, music, and attention to detail will draw you in quite quickly. The abilities are simple to understand, and the world is easy to traverse, with some very casual puzzles. It's a very easy world to simply enjoy: the music, environment, art style, and everything else about it.

GRIS definitely shines more by being an experiential piece of art vs a videogame, and I think that's perfectly alright. I went in with no presuppositions and really enjoyed myself. The soundtrack is excellent, and I might replay through the game slower just to enjoy it fully again. Is it worth $17 for 4 hours of gameplay? I think you might want to wait for a sale, like I did, but then again, I've spent $20 worse, and supporting indie games like this is a great way to encourage developers to make more of them. Overall it's a very cool experience, and I don't really have any complaints. Big recommend.

Florence is a short sort of visual novel-type game with a very nice soundtrack. I've loved the piano and cello for a long time, so when I saw users mentioning the soundtrack and listened to a bit of it on Youtube, I decided I'd like to experience the music in its original setting.

That said, I have to agree with some more critical reviews that the game is quite shallow ("Story Rich" in the user-defined tags?) in terms of character development, (i.e. there is only one example of it), actual gameplay, and much else that one would expect of a traditional story-driven PC game. Of course, this is a mobile game ported to PC, and so it being more focused on visuals and music vs actual gameplay and any sort of depth is to be expected.

Some might find its hyper-simplicity endearing or cute, but I found myself wishing there were more interactive options, not just in the form of drag-and-drop minigames or match-the-number puzzles. For example, a small animated segment where the player could control Florence and Krish walking together, or choose something for Florence to point out and the two to talk about, or an option to select which meal was cooked, where the two traveled for the day, etc.

Still, I was happy to support a small studio and try out their game, and while it is quite plain, the music and visuals definitely bump it up a couple levels. I also enjoyed seeing some character art that was included after the game, but if I'm being honest, I might recommend watching a game playthrough on Youtube (the game is 0.5 hours long) and just buying the soundtrack, as it sadly seems to be no longer available on Spotify :'(

I wish there was a "neutral" selection for Steam reviews, but I think I'll give Florence a thumbs up, though the game only just barely earns it.

A poor man's DayZ, or just a man with bad judgment. Not much to offer here. Everything's buggy and glitchy, and no one plays this game. Fun to screw around with friends but otherwise nothing you can't get better somewhere else.

Right now it reminds me very strongly of Rust Legacy. It's really fun to play with friends, and very satisfying to build up your base. C4 is extremely hard to craft, and while on the one hand this is great because it makes it really hard for anyone to raid your base, on the other it also sucks because it's also REALLY hard for you to raid anyone else's.

For $20 you get a ton of fun playtime, and you also get to support some honest devs. Give it a try, you've spent more on worse!

Game is garbage and i can't remember why i even bought it. Uninteresting, unoriginal, un-fun and unappealing. I'm just leaving it open for trading cards. DO NOT waste your money on this game.
