This game is plagued with a multitude of problems including but not limited to: matchmaking, audio, ranked design, greedy monetization (with little originality) in recent events, etc. Considering all of this I can't in good conscience recommend this game to new players. I tried to get my friend into the game and he told me he never wanted to touch it again after being subjected to several games of pubs in which we were wiped by people with multiple Master/Predator badges in which he dealt a combined total of around 200 damage across all 7 games we played before he quit to go do anything else. Recent events have displayed a stunning lack of originality in which they simply re-color and release skins from previous events, many of which I own and can simply compare to the recolors, wondering why I would be charged any money for them. Ranked is plagued with issues no matter the season, seeing as how last season my friends in BRONZE were being queued with people in PLATINUM by which the game standards EXPLICITLY STATE "there can be no more than one tier difference between players" once you reach Platinum and above. This spits in the face of any player who is trying to learn to get better by actually playing the game. Finally, the audio issues, oh how I love them. Many players will notice that they can hear gunfights happening a couple to a few named locations away, only to fail to notice the audio of a full squad pushing their location from either a single building away or even from the same building below them at times. I've tried a variety of ways to mess with audio sliders to ensure I can hear footsteps from enemies, only to often have myself and squadmates confuse our own footsteps for enemies at times. With everything I've laid out, as much as I love this game, I can't recommend it to new players looking to try to pick up and enjoy a new casual movement shooter.

Balance seems off, with things in the Dark Forest and Magic Forest almost always one shotting you if you don't have really good armor, which doesn't help when that's where you spawn when you just start out playing the game and don't know the ups and downs of this game. Can not recommend buying this game for full price, as it's not really entertaining unless you have people to play with, and even then, it's hard to keep the game fun when things one shot you out of nowhere. If you're trying to play with friends, don't try to check the option "Only Allow Steam Friends?" as it just resulted in neither of the 2 friends I was playing with being able to see the game on the Join Host Game tab in the Host Game menu option. They both tried to host a world with the option checked and it didn't show up for either of us who were attempting to join. This combined with a few instances of crashing upon attempting to join the Host Game resulted in a frustrating experience just trying to start playing the game. All in all, was a SOMEWHAT decent, but very dodgy experience that I just don't see as worth anywhere near the base $40 price tag, and not even the $20 it was when on Christmas Sale.
