Short (30 mins - 1 hour), but engaging puzzle/exploration game. Takes a second to figure out the logic, but eventually things begin to make sense.

Easy buy at full price.

Played this back in the 360 days, still a good run now.

I think it's a little long in the tooth, but doesn't over stay its welcome too much.

Honestly biggest complaints are, running 1080p is a small work around.
And the MP isn't on Steam of some reason. But it is free.

Echoing many reviews, great art style, but the game does an awful job at explaining itself. Really feels like one of those games where the dev was the only play tester, and it was too easy for them.

Watching one of the higher scores (but not the highest scores full of cheaters) you can see how to at least have a good time with it. Grab Chest, Collect ammo, find a vantage point on the roof to funnel the AI until you run out of ammo or get overwhelmed, rinse repeat. Collect Health as necessary.
Worked okay enough for me to get just shy of the top 100 on the leader board. And only reason it didn't get me further is cause health stopped spawning.

This can be a fun Arcade game, might get an hour or so out of it. Can't recommend at full price. Can barely recommend at a discount.

While the core combat style has been changed to turn based, just about everything else is exactly the same, and it's so good.

I enjoyed the new combat system over all, but I felt it fell into a lot of the trappings turn based RPGs have. I'd say 2 fights in the entire story are challenging and need to be strategized, and the other 99% are at best one turn wipes, and at worst, mindless wars of attrition cause enemies have so much health, but their attack is so weak it doesn't matter.

This was the longest Yakuza for me and I didn't like that. 80 hours for the main story. Plus 30 to do the true final tower.

Like a Dragon has some of the highest highs, but also some of the grindiest lows. If this game was just those highs, this would be a knock out for best in the series, but you have to trudge through a lot.

This is a weird entry.
On the one hand, the main story is probably the dumbest of all the games.
On the other, the side content is so rich and plentiful.
I loved the hunting mini game, and Haruka's whole section was just *Chef's kiss*

I think this might be the shortest Yakuza game and that's not a bad thing. Resources are spent on fully voicing all the dialogue in the game, and polish like that, coupled with how this game respects your time compared to other entries, make it one of my favorites in the series.

This was my first Yakuza. A wonderful starting point for newcomers, and one of the best games in the whole series overall.

I really enjoyed how the first 12 hours are just "Dad Simulator". I hope 4,5, and 6 have more of that.

Won this off SG. It's not a bad game, it's a pretty challenging arcade style shooter, and the unique mechanic is interesting, but it's hard to recommend. If Steam had that middling score, I'd give it that.
