I saw this game on social media and thought "That looks cool" and forgot about it for a while, fast forward to the demo event Steam was running a few weeks ago as of this review and I was reminded of it. Downloaded the demo and gave it a whirl and fell in love. I've never ordered a game as quickly as I did with this one.

Atmosphere is stunning, the sound design is done really well and the art style fits perfectly. The gameplay loop is really good, it's satisfying to loot every crate and exploring the zones is addictive. Most of the anomalies are easy to understand from a quick glance without needing to interact with them. The voice acting is quite decent and the story so far has been quite enjoyable 2nd mission in the middle zone so far , I kinda wish the characters interacted a bit more with the driver during downtime, however the silence makes for a vibe while tinkering on the car and managing supplies.

I've seen a lot of complaints about not being able to save while out in the zone and runs taking too long, I've been able to grab the resources I needed and got out within 10-15 minutes, controlling the length of a run hasn't been an issue for me.

Overall this game has quickly taken a spot near and dear to me, scratching an itch I didn't know I had. Only major gameplay elements I would like to see improved is letting us interact with items while running (lighting a flare or eating to regen health) and please let us close the garage door.

A few things to note: most of the games I play (and enjoy) are strictly solo, and I rarely make time for myself to play games anymore. At the time of this review 90% of my hours have been in the past week.

I bought this game a few years ago, I went into this game with no expectations, and at a first glance I felt like it was a more melee focused Left 4 Dead copy with a Warhammer: Age of Sigmar theme. Now I enjoy both AoS and 40K on tabletop, with more of an appreciation for 40K than AoS, so I went in with some bias. Stopped playing after an hour or so and completely forgot about the game. Came back to it a few months before all the Darktide hype and figured "eh, why not give it a shot?" Best choice I've made in a while. It's been hard to put the game down.

Pros:
- Each character has a lot of variety to choose from
- 3 classes each character (With the exception of the fire mage, each character has access to an additional class as paid DLC at this time)
- A decent selection of options for weapons
- Very satisfying combat
- Soundtrack fits the game very well
- Sound design is very satisfying
- Good amount of content in the base game
- Crafting is fun, but not reqired
- Lootbox system that's fair and fun
- The game looks nice, even on the lowest setting
- The banter between characters feels natural, tension and arguing being organic at times.
- Being called a Lumberfoot
- The only explanation you have for the dwarf's language is in tool tips, which makes loading screens a bit more fun.
- The Chaos Wastes are a really fun way to play the game
- The Solo option is nice

Cons:
- Lots of paid DLC
- Cosmetics that have any effort put into them cost money
- The level design can be confusing at times
- The game will sometimes expect you to know the way to proceed with no explanation. I'm looking at you Trail of Treachery finale
- It takes quite a few matches to level up your characters
- The game can feel like a slog at times
- The dodge mechanic feels a bit clunky
- The prologue
- Load screens can take a while. Not a huge issue but if you don't like waiting it can get annoying
- Quickplay seems to be a mess? Never tried it but I've seen a lot of complaints

Overall, this game has a lot going for it. Don't go into it expecting a beautiful game where everyone looks like a supermodel, it takes place in a time where baths are a luxury, everything is filthy and it shows. If you can get the game on sale it's a steal, grab a few friends and you'll have a good time.

Things this game has taught me:

- Guards have eyes on the back of their heads.
- I can dodge bullets from an LMG being fired at me point blank while crouching and not moving while under the protection of a tuxedo.
- The USA doesn't sell functional hardware equipment.
- You can get instructions on how to properly cook meth just by googling it.
- All of the world's police force is supplied by the USA.
- A man with a metal faceplate, a bomb diffusal outfit and a helmet with bulletproof glass can be legaly called in to stop a jewelry store theif.
- No one can pick themselves up from being kicked.
- Vlad is a model citizen.
- All SWAT snipers use thick red lasers when aiming.
- You can paint a mask for $3,000,000
- You can kill someone with a bundle of money.
- A simple yell or help getting up can cure life threatning injuries.
- Local police with revolvers do more damage than the SWAT.
- A Dentist planned the biggest scale bank robbery.
- The US Military created a functional TF2 Turret.
- Guards have a sixth sense that allows them to tell criminal apart from other citizens by bumping into them.
- I can be kicked by Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell.
- I'm constantly told by Sam Fisher to go on the fourms and cry like the ♥♥♥♥♥ I am.
- I can kill people with a toothbrush.
- You can completely silence a Barret .50 Cal Sniper Rifle.
- You can fire said silenced .50 Cal Sniper Rifle from your shoulder without any injuries.
- You can completely silence the sound of sawing metal with a custom saw body.
- You can cause massive chaos and panic while dressed like santa.

10/10 Needs more DLC though.

Overal rating 9/10 If you're a fan of stealth games, this is a great pick up.

Pros:
- Great stealth mechanics,
- Replayability
- Appealing art style
- Amazing soundtrack
- Great atmosphere
- Vast choices in play styles

Cons:
- Storyline is bland, most of the plot development is lacking until last levels when it was obvious and not as impacting as it could have been.
- Comments from developers sometimes got in the way (Personal problem)

F*ck this f*cking a*s filled sh*t storm of a game. It's like a sexual spanking with a rust ridden, nail covered 2 x 4 except, plot f*cking twist, you acctuaily don't like the 2 x 4 slamming agenst your a*s in whatever way possible. The only reason you bought this game was when it was on a 90% off sale during the winter sale. This game should go f*ck it's self with a cactus.
