Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is a remake of the original Console game released back in late 2003, being the first time the PC Gaming community has access to this experience outside of Emulation. By itself, the game is a wonderful entrance to the Platforming-Collectathon genre popularized with other releases within the original's time frame (Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie & Tooie, Donkey Kong 64 are prime examples from the Nintendo 64) with just the right amount of items to collect- 100 Spatulas, and 80 Socks.

Battle for Bikini Bottom's Rehydrated rendition has some noteworthy differences compared to the original release:
- Additional Idle Animations & Background Decor that refer back towards the show (Mostly between Season 1 and the season following the 1st Movie).
- Unused Voice Lines re-implemented(ie. Spongebob's "Mission Control" line when using the Cruise Bubble now has an alternate take without the microphone filter).
- Larger Methods of Traversing: The levels are built to-scale, however each character has been given an additional boost in movement; Patrick's normal attack inches him forward, Spongebob has slightly more vertical movement & can Bubble Bash during a single jump, and Sandy can perform an additional jump with every Lasso Pull. Spongebob's Spongebowl move 'Sticks' to surfaces or slopes more and- along with allowing a jump to be performed when exiting this state- can allow for some sequence breaks to occur.

There are other various quirks that this game presents, but at the end of the day "Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated" is a faithful port to all Current-Day consoles using Unreal Engine 4.
