Running on a 2060 and i7 8700.

Aside from a few minor stutters whenever I enter a new area for the first time, the game runs at a stable 60fps on high settings. But I have friends who have performance issues with much stronger PCs, so just be aware of that.

Aside from technical issues like that, the game is great. The world is vast, and it feels like there's something interesting around every corner. The bosses are varied and challenging, but none of them feel unfair yet.

Game feels great, some kinks need to be ironed out (XP progression, playlists, relatively minor things), but 343 seem pretty open to feedback, so I don't doubt that this stuff will be addressed before the full release in december.

Combat is janky, but no other game comes close to the sense of adventure you can get in this, especially if you bring a couple of friends with you.

What to say about Dark Souls...
Dark Souls is amazing in every way. The gameplay, the story, the lore, and the atmosphere. The atmosphere plays a huge roll in Dark Souls, making you feel alone and hopeless through much of the game, considering that almost everyone around you is going insane. Dark Souls has a very original way of intergrating multiplayer into the singleplayer. Around the land of Lordran, you will find these Humanity Sprites. With Humanity, you have the ability to become "Human". When you become "Human", You are able to summon other players by finding their White Soapstone. This allows you to engage in jolly cooperation! However, be warned. Becoming "Human" makes you suspectible to invasions. Invasions are random, and are forced upon you. The invaders sole purpose is to hunt you down and kill you for your humanity, so be cautious whenever you get invaded!
Hands down, Dark Souls is one of the best games of 2011-2013, and it has shown it's worth the phrase "Prepare to Die".
