Edited review: Update has fixed a good deal of the performance problems. New Game button Hooray! Game is still fun and i still am no lifieing it. Several points where i got confused on quests because i couldnt progress, and it turned out i hadnt gotten far enough in other quests to complete the one i was working on. So some of the quests are on logic rails and some are very contrived. Fairy stones and their beacons are pretty plentiful mid to late game and you can use theif class to steal fairy-stones off of griffins of many of the bosses and after progressing the main quest enough to officially unlock the desert zone i am now net positive on the fairy stones. Game is great though would rate a 8.5-9/10 post update.




Old Review: Both my save points got corrupted less than 8 hours in and lock up immediately to <1 minute after a load them. Since you are not allowed to restart your character thanks to capcom and steam cloud I am soft locked out of the game. Once this game is fixed in a years time I'll probably reinstall but until these issues are fixed I am refunding it in case they never are as capcom has a less than stellar history in fixing their games. The performance is really subpar and the "fixed" follower voice spam is arguably no better than the original. Combat is pretty good, obviously a controller first design but its passable on pc mnk. Fun game from what little i experienced but the technical issues and somewhat shady micro transactions (yes i know you can get everything in game but at the beginning they feel almost necessary they started to feel a tiny bit less so at the 7:30 mark after i found a couple in game. Anyways refund for now, will probably repurchase after things get fixed...

They never unbanned sales. Sure they unbanned players who already purchased but they didn’t walk back everything. They have only posted on social media and at best delayed a portion of the change.

200 hours in beta vs 32 since launch This game was ruined by cheating while strangled held by the devs with a complete lack of meaningful content and game has been the biggest letdown in my gaming career of 24 years. I think the difference in hours spent in 2 weeks during betas vs launch speaks volumes. This game is INFESTED with cheaters it is easily a minimum of 20+% of what little remains of this games player base. If ai anti-cheat works eventually and gets added here this game will have a huge resurgence but until then stay away as its tournament structure is an amazing idea on paper but god awful in practice because of cheaters. STAY AWAY!

I don’t play many games from Bethesda but the ones I have have always sucked me in for a least 100 hours minimum. Star field couldn’t even do that. It felt too much like it was trying to take fallout and put it in no mans sky size universe. Instead of keeping to their strengths of jam packing a small map with so much content you never run out of things to find. The games writing is delusional, it feels like the marketing team was handed the reigns to hype the hell out of the game by developing it then got tired and forgot to finish the game, all the game does is tell you constantly it is so great and vast and perfect in every way but its empty and lifeless except two planets which playable area wouldn’t fill a quadrant of fallout 4s map.

brand new to CS as i preferred tf2 during CS's previous hayday. Game is fun sometimes and rage inducing other times. There are some serious visual bugs i have run into in this game where it is causing artifact and complete visual desync after about an hour of play. I find myself asking,"Why didnt my shot hit and wait why did my shot hit?" There is a bit more of an off feeling for me in this game but i cant put my finger on its exact cause. However it is quite fun and the community has been watered down enough with the influx of players that some games i don't get snap one tapped by players who have been playing 5-15 years so i can finally play CS and feel less like i am pulling my teeth out. all in all i would rate it 7 out of 10. I'll likely update this later as i learn to play it better. It's a different type of aiming and movement/lack there of so i will need to break bad habbits.

I GOT BAIT AND SWITCHED HARD! Removing old review after day two of playing... now in both pvp and pve if i select team play i instantly get paired with two bots who sit afk in spawn for 5 seconds then disconnect. so any team based game-mode is just ridiculously sweaty for no reason pvp or pve. In pvp always 1v3 and always againt the sweaty top 2% all in 3 stacks which without teammates is gg eventually. With the spawn close option even if i win one or two fights i am not winning 3. Other than team based pvp this game is rather lack luster and boring so now i see no reason to play, i bought the battle-pass before getting off for the day yesterday because i was jazzed to play again. Now after today i dont want to play at all.

Update: it was fun while it lasted but last couple updates felt like steps in the complete wrong direction, community has also hit a player count that makes playing in my region a chore as there is never more than one server and if i don't play in my region i get slapped by packet burst and die before i even know i am being shot. The soul of the game is just not there anymore either, no one talks anymore i actually haven't even heard your classic mic spam in the start of the game in a little while so i had to call it quits, and never thought id miss music being blasted on repeat in the choppers.... *sigh* sadly while i loved the game previously now i wouldn't recommend it.

Fun, pure and simple. I do have to say the net code for dedicated servers needs a bit of polish. trying to play with friends and get punished for having a good connection and low ping.

With the general security updates post destroyer2009 public embarrassment and revamped matchmaking the game feels rather nice right now, since they fixed scripting movement the gameplay has slowed down a lot in the lower ranks and speeds up more and more as you climb. I'd say the ranked system and game is in the best place it has been in the last 3 years. While not perfect you can see the general positive shift being made in the community and the devs focus and priorities. It also helps that the public information around how cheats work and what they expose your PC to has swayed some to actually play legit as well as its now cool not to cheat. Finally seeing a bit of a reality check in the player base at least here in the americas.

From Positive to negative. Game used to run fine now I can't even launch the game tried every fix i could find game will not launch after clicking play in the launcher. Way past refund time now I enjoyed this game even though I had to jury rig it to get it to run, now with any setting the game straight up will not run. At this point sadly i have to join the crowd and down vote, this game had promise but now I think that ship has sailed.
