Early Access Review
While I do recommend this game, I say this with the warning that (as of writing this on 1/1/21) this game is still in early access and it feels very unfinished. I think this game is very satisfying overall and think it has a lot of potential, even if it is very buggy.

So far, my biggest complaint is that the physics engine badly needs work. A lot of trash columns are floating mid-air in my game right now with no way for me to break them. Some areas seem like they are designed for you to access, but were implemented poorly and cannot be accessed. One time, I saved my game and closed it so I could play later, only to find that a TON of trash had returned to an area I had already cleared, but I retained all of the resources I got there. One day, all of my robots were frozen in mid-air where I could not harvest their materials nor take care of them.

Early Access Review
I don't recommend this game as of 12/27/2020. While this game is still in early access, it has been out for a few months now and it is still extremely unstable, at least on my machine. While the game is running, it's quite fun, but I experience frequent crashes even in single player - sometimes these crashes are from trying to go to a new island or open a world I've played on, but sometimes the game just crashes at random while I'm in the middle of some mundane task.

I loved Majesty as a kid, and hoped that I might continue to enjoy its sequel. Though the sequel has a pleasing interface and lovely graphics, it got the main aspect of the game wrong. This game is not challenging in the sense that it tests your skills and wit in order to properly establish your kingdom to deal with various tasks; instead, the game is outright impossible. Specifically, there are two levels near the beginning of the game, one in which you are to kill an ancient dragon accompanied by an endless horde of serpents, and one in which there are sewers around your palace that incessantly spawn rats and ratmen. BOTH of these quests are supposed to be intermediate quests and take place after you beat a handful of beginning quests (ironically, these are extremely easy and also extremely short, note my total playtime), but BOTH of them are impossible due to the fact that they are always demolishing your city from the very beginning of the quest. In Majesty, there were certainly quests with hordes of enemies, but very few of them were at the very beginning of the quest, and even so, hordes came in waves, to give you enough time to rebuild. What's worse is that I cannot play any other quest because Majesty 2 offers only linear-based progression, unlike Majesty, where you could complete almost any quest at any time. Not to mention the fact that Majesty 2 features far fewer quests than Majesty + Northern Realms, and you cannot continue playing after a quest is finished as you could in Majesty. I did NOT purchase the expansion packs for Majesty 2 because I wanted to see if the base game was any good first, and frankly, it did not live up to my bare minimum expectations.

Pointless waste of time. The choices of dialog you're given does not affect the outcome at all. Emily will still act like a ♥♥♥♥ to you no matter what.
