Childhood dream game actualized. The soft body physics are beautiful. I'm glad the devs added a little content for the Alpha release but the community content kept me busy for the first few months. Plus a built in editor lets you mold the terrain and create your own maps from scratch. Plus if you're crazy good at modeling and programming you can get any car you can imagine in game. Someone put an AT TE with wheels from starwars in game. The community even put helicopters and planes into the engine.

So basically get this game if:
A) You're into cars and driving in general
B) You want to crash cars without paying for them
C) You want an expansive engine to work in, modeling, programming, mapmaking whatever
OR
D) Whatever other reason you can think of.

Support this wonderful project!

This is a great game, a solid fps in my opinion and it only cost me 97 cents on sale. My only problem with it is that there's a very small community and I find that people can't handle losing. It's really sad. Probably a bunch of 8 year olds playing...
So please join me in dominating the crowd and raise the standards of competition a little. I'm getting tired of going easy or making the host end the game cause I whipped his butt.

Excellent sandbox, massive potential, Ninja Rabbit Combat.

Edit:

Wow I can't believe that's all I wrote on this game. Probably because I was too busy playing it. I have more hours on this game offline because I use a community mod loader and launcher to play the game. Overgrowth is in development and has been percolating in the minds of the developers since 2005 when they dropped Lugaru, the spiritual predecessor as they put it to Overgrowth.
The reason I love this game is because of it's combat system. The lead developer mentioned once that he took inspiration from Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee movie fight scenes. I like mortal combat street fighter and every other game in that genre in their own rights, but combos for crazy moves put me off. The combat system in this game is based of attacking, blocking, countering, or dodging. The way you are moving around your target determines what kind of attack you will throw. To counter you have to press the block button which is the RMB or right trigger on game pad.

You'll have to just watch the game played and see for yourself if you're interested. What drew me in was the combat and wall jumping! Also user generated content if you're interested in that kinda thing. It won't be as vital to the game when the developers add their mass of content. AND LORE!

I love the concept of this game, I first heard of it when I came accross the app on my ipod in school... The control of the vehicles was much more like flying a jet with more precise controls, there were different vehicles, and different modes, my favorite being the high score challenge of freestyle stunting. I'm glad to see this game available on the computer but there should be the same amount, if not more content as ios app.

Overall I would say this game is worth a try if you're into action shooters with mmo twist. The only reason I would suggest it is because it's free, or at least the game is playable for free, many microtransactions set you behind most other players willing to chip in. The game looks good and plays well, it seems pretty polished, until you put some time into it and realize the ai needs some work, which is ridiculous because most of the game is pve. You have to collect resources from different planets throughout your missions to create new items. The resources seem a little unbalanced, sometimes I have 4 times as much of one thing as I need to make something, and sometimes it'll take me hours to find other resources. The game seems to be based around team play, going solo is difficult because if you die you exit the mission, whereas if you had team mates they have a certain time to revive you. It’s not impossible to solo, you’ll just find yourself playing less difficult missions for less important resources.
