Be a cat! Explore the city! Get into trouble! Collect hats! Steal things! Have the zoomies! Go home! ...eventually. Adorable, funny, and fantastically entertaining. I have taken so many cat photos.

A very chill game that asked "What if sudoku used little cat icons instead of numbers?" And yes, there is still the option to just use numbers instead of 9 different distinct cats. But where's the charm in that?

Includes cute mew sound effects, very relaxing music, and different color options for UI. I keep popping in to check out the daily puzzle. It's my go-to daily meditation. (...Mew-ditation?)

A love letter to homesteading games, done by a single dev. Basically Stardew Valley as if running on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, with Minecraft sprinkled in. The different inspirations work together well, greater than the sum of its parts.

My main gripes with AC:NH (you are beholden to the passage of time) is fixed here by days being shorter than real time. My issues with Stardew Valley time (things being locked to seasons) is much looser here by having many more things unrelated to time of year. And unlike Minecraft's quicksandbox where there's just too much for me to take in all at once, Dinkum instead is more quality over quantity and there are things to dabble in and when I find I like it, jump right in.

Multiplayer works fantastically. I've only played with one other person so far, but there have been no major issues with desyncing. A few scattered oddities (fishing lag, duplicated NPCs), but nothing that can't just be laughed off.

The Spring Update added lovely flowers, another (more dangerous) mine type, a super useful restaurant NPC, and all sorts of lovely new items. I do wish the undergrowth wasn't so hard in single player, but I can either explore in multiplayer or change up my strategies and equipment. All in all, a great addition to the game.

Looking forward to more updates as they come!

Adorable hidden object game with some clever puzzles, cute cats, and amusing easter eggs. The unlockable score attack mode was a surprisingly fun minigame. This sequel includes some quality of life improvements like a zoom function, unlockable hints, and clearer goals to meet. Wonderful wholesome fun.

A cute and calming puzzle game with gorgeous art and music. A little weird that it doesn't have real credits (although the cat photos and profiles are very cute), but a little digging leads to Innerselfgames. Lovely little game, like a purring cat in a lap.

Simply put: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids meets Minecraft. But it's more than the sum of its parts. The style is a love letter to the 90s wacky science comedies, but played a bit more seriously. I quite like the variety of gear and tools catered to different playstyles. Run from spiders, learn to perfect block, proudly rush into fighting spiders, discover terrifying AoE attacks, run from spiders again. And even if you change the spider slider down to visually turn them into orbs, it doesn't take away the fact that they will slaughter you.

10/10, would run screaming from angry orbs again and again.

A very good sequel to Slime Rancher. Yes, it's still a work in progress. But it's already quite lovely and the potential for more slimes, more locations, more gadgets, and more story is exciting, and I'm glad I get to play the game while I'm waiting for it all. Just who is this mysterious GG?

I filled the cave full of batty slimes and pomegranite trees. It's my happy place, and as a bonus, the plorts sell for a good chunk of change.

Very cute, very squishy, very beautiful. Also check out the soundtrack!

Incredibly fun roguelite that's hilariously fun whether you win or lose. And despite it releasing back in 2016, it is still getting updates and new content in 2022. That's dedication.

A short and sweet nostalgia trip. There's some jank, for sure. (Also, this ported version has issues closing the program when you quit.) But it's a charming venture back to the earlier days of online games. Info and hints are available in-game, so walkthroughs aren't necessary.

And yeah, if you didn't play the original on the website, this game will likely feel quaint, even archaic and clunky. But it was simpler times, and this was made by two people, available for free on the still fairly new world wide web. Perhaps view it as a footnote on how far indie games have come?

Hoping that someday, the sequel gets packaged for modern computers!

Charming, quirky, bouncy, and wobbly. I find myself humming these songs to myself long after I've finished played the game. And then I wanna get right back into playing more!
