For a game that focuses on exploration, there really isn't that much to explore, it aight but definitely not worth £17.99, I've played much cheaper and better games with much more content for a much lower price so the £17.99 price tag is extremely excessive, that alone deserves a "not recommended" but there are countless other reasons too that I won't bother with since all the other bad reviews have already.

Had this tool for a while now, and even as a stand alone thing it's actually fun, it's fun to just design bases and really useful to figure out the flaws of one. I don't play rust all that often but when I do I have this tool to go back to for my old but gold base designs, the game is always up to date with Rust itself so you never have to worry about not having a deployable. Overall great tool.

A lot of people have so far given this game bad rep for being so short, but I think they forget this is an early access game and a lot of people forget what that means. When you buy this game you're not paying for a full game, you're paying to support the game because you like what you see so far, early access games aren't finished games and you should not expect them to be, now that's out of the way here's my review.

So far the game is progressing in a good way, and what they've done so far in the alpha demo is great and left me wanting to play more, the soundtrack is great and fits the atmosphere really well along with the SFX design too, although that is lacking in a few areas. The visuals are beautiful and a pleasure to look at while playing through the game and on top of that, they're being overhauled and from what's been shown so far it looks great. I do have a few complaints though, as much as I appreciate how fast and seamless the looting in the game is it does leave much to be desired, I just want to be able to see what's in the draw I'm looking in and click and drag everything to loot it, just pressing E leaves my brain thinking that I should've done more to gain those items.

The gun play and PvP is very clunky, when aiming it's very restricted, with the small cone of vision to aim up and down it just makes PvP feel controlled, I want to be able to aim exactly where I want to shoot with my mouse appearing as a cross-hair on my screen rather than as if I had a long stick with my cross-hair on the end of it. PvP in the game is very, awkward and needs more, there's no real indicator that you're taking damage, there should be some sort of hurt sound effect or red filter on the screen when being hit and also low health, right now you just take damage from enemies being next to you then you just die. The ammo mechanic I can see getting quite annoying, not being able to save bullets in a clip is a feature that just doesn't make much sense, you should be able to save those clips at least for when you're low on ammo, every bullet should count really.

That moves me onto my last complaint about the gun play, and is something that kind of ruins the fun when playing. You can't reload while walking, with the speed of the enemies and also the time it takes to reload movement is all you have to defend yourself from getting hurt so the fact that you can't move is a big downfall, I really hope this changes along with many other things I mentioned.

My review does mainly consist of negatives about the game but, if this game keeps going on its path and worked on a few things that I mentioned, I really think it could be a great game. When/if the changes I talked about are worked upon/implemented, I will update my review.

I recommend this game if you'd like to support them in developing it and you'd like to see where it goes.
