Interesting take on a classic top down shoot em up. The premise of the game (HP = time) forces you to stay on the move, prioritize targets and be very aggressive. The 4 characters are fairly well balanced and their abilities are pretty cool to use. I'm not a fan of the Reverse Time mechanic but I can see other players using it.

Something I will say is that the pacing is a bit dull until you reach the levels after the first boss, which is extreamly hard to beat.

Overall, this game is a mix of good and bad ideas, clichés and cool new stuff. The implementation is the same with some very neat effects, levels and mechanics and other more visually lackluster elements such as the characters holding their guns (seriously I think only 20% of the guns are held correctly).

I've been a fan of C&H since the beginning and it pains me to say that I regret funding this games kickstarter. The writing is there, the characters are great and the voice acting is consistently funny.

Alas, the gameplay is...bland. Mainly due to the poor puzzle design:

- Almost no lateral thinking. There's a lock, you find a key. Boring.
- Puzzle order is messy. You can solve puzzles before they tell you they exist.
- Dialog is almost never necessary for puzzles and when it is you either solve the puzzle by just selecting all options or the NPC gives you a super obvious hint on what you need to give them.
- Too many puzzles are solved in a secuence. Example: Guy wants a marker, the marker dealer wants cream. That's not really 2 puzzles. Do the first one and you immediately solve the next. This does happen in other adventure games but solving a puzzle should only be a step in solving another one, not the entire solution.

What I do like is that they try to play around with the concept of secondary tasks and using the character's outfit to solve puzzles (Even if it's just twice).

Finally...too short. I did all of the tasks, took my time as well, and still finished it in 7h. For an adventure game, there's no adventure. No change in scenary, no new places to explore...no second and third act. I hope the next two parts fix these issues but the reality is that they're probably already too advanced in the development phase for big changes.

The beginning to the most beutifully crafted masterpice in video games. And the best part is that Mass effect 1 is actually the "worst" of the trilogy for me and still it gets a 10/10. Depending on how you play the game it can last either 12 hours for a rushed expirience or even 30 if you really get into the lore behind it. Watch out with what you choose becouse if you import your game to mass effect 2 it will have a serious impact

IF YOU CAN, PLAY THE TRILOGY ON PS3 if you do not import your character from mass effect 2 to mass effect 3 than the game looses A LOT. A SERIOUS LOSS. It even changes the main storyline and everything. Please if you can play at least both mass effect 2 and 3 on the PS3.

Un juegazo increible como ningun otro. No he jugado a ningún juego mejor. 100/100
