Skill based and difficult to master, it's not hard to have a good time with it... But the mouse controls are awful, so you better get a controller ready.

Early Access Review
Was fun up to the addition of time limits. Let me explain: There's a kind of character, generally archers, that will run away from you and try to shoot you from afar, making you chase them down if you are playing a melee character. Now imagine you need to catch them and beat them up in 5 turns, in a game where walking is a whole turn. Everyone loses, courtains fall.

XCom 2 has some issues, yes. Timers can be bothersome and the sense of wonder from the first game is lost here, but the game is still a great purchase and experience, telling a decent story and some great gameplay, as long as you can understand that rolling dice won't average 3,5.

Alright, Book of Demons.
To be honest, I got the game as an impulse buy, since I got a coupon for leaving Darkest Dungeon running while at work.

I'll admit that I quickly lost interest after a few minutes, as the start is rather boring if you have all ten fingers and can recognize the most basic of videogame core mechanics, "hit the skeleton".

However the aesthetics and humor kept me invested until the game ramped up the dificulty.

At which point I died and promptly closed the game, went to brew a cup of tea and scalded my tongue before trying again.

This time, I got to make myself familiar with the items and the monsters' abilities before ragequitting.

Now, as my third character delves deep into the paper dungeons, torching everything with fireball like mana was infinite, I can't let the game go.

An original looking, diablo-like, roguelike on rails, which gets going after a couple sessions and doesn't slow down from then on.

There's, to me, endless fun in hopping around a dungeon as the skeleton warriors and the obzedat try to stop me from killing Diablo's paper doll.

All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend this game to everyone. Whether you'd like small play sessions as small breaks or sit down and charge into hell's heart all day long, you won't be disappointed.
