TL:DR If you're looking for a one of a kind game to experience with some friends or solo, do yourself a favor and play Helldivers 2.

This is a game innovating on so many fronts at once, at first glance it's just another Warhammer 40K third-person shooter but it is so much more. Helldivers 2 shows the most consumer friendly practices with no FOMO battlepasses, earnable premium currency and even backed off a publisher overreach after the community raised their voices.

This game features a dedicated gamemaster who can at any point introduce new enemies, mission types and events to keep things fresh at a moments notice.

This game feels juicy to heaven and back; Explosions rock your camera, nukes light up your screen and every single weapon just feels right.

The best time to get in is right now, so join the fight for super earth, Helldiver.

Payday was a great game, I've had lots of fun with it. Shared good memories with friends and laughs.

The keyword in my sentence is was.

Whilst this is a great game, there was always something nagging. They constantly released DLC after DLC after DLC each costing around 5€ each, all DLC as of now is totaled up to about 100€. Think of all the thing you could do with that money!

I hopped onto this game a bit after my friends and when i asked them where i equipped the grenades they told me it was DLC! I thought thats a wierd thing to do but sure i can heft out 5€ for some cool new weapons, but almost every update after that was just more DLC.

So far they've had 3 major gamerelated events. Crimefest 2014, Hypetrain and Crimefest 2015. Crimefest 2014 was a nice event, the community got new free things if more and more joined hteir steam group, nothing wrong with that, But the event afterwards was a major flop.

I stopped playing around the event that they called "Hypetrain". You fueled this hypetrain by buying their DLC or copies of payday 2, in return for reaching set amounts of hype fuel they would give us free ingame items. They released their Overkill pack and completely overkill pack. The overkill pack was cool and all, some new heavy weaponry, but the Comp. Overkill pack was the major headscratcher for the community. It contained mystery items and some exclusive masks. The masks were cool and all but the mystery items havent been released yet! The community believes that Starbreeze had to contribute hype fuel since we didnt approve of this money based event, moreso the fuel went from almost nothing to HUGELOADS over the duration of one night.

One of the goals(remember that these goals promised us free stuff) we reached was longed for: Golden Grin Casino Heist. when the update hit, we got a free trailer of the Golden Grin Casino, only to have to wait a few months for it to be released as a paid DLC.

Starbreeze and Overkill have done this several times, the FBI files that was recently released? Those were promised last year.

It was at Hypetrain where i felt that Overkill's moneygrab style outwheighed the fun me and my friends had and we stopped playing. Now why am i writing this review then? I started to touch it again now that, Crimefest, that was so much fun last year came back again. We had some cool and fun new goals to reach together as a community to unlock our promised free goodies!

We got some free cool stuff until we unlocked the final "amazing" community goal, we got cases. We got the same case system as in TF2 and CS:GO. But the exception that the skins you unlock have better stats and mods than the ones everyone who pays for the respective DLC can use. While the DLC powercreep was and always will be a thing but this is now p2w, this is what made me uninstall and made me dissapointed at the devs, espcially since: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/payday-2-wont-have-microtransactions/1100-6410303/

Thank you for ruining a game with DLC after DLC and now micro-transactions that give straight up an unfair advantage, this went from favorite to uninstalled over the course of a year.

Bravo Almir, Bravo.
