For a free game, it's very generous with what it gives you for free relative to what you "need" so in that regard, it's not pay2win in my opinion because I am almost through the whole game without spending money.

In terms of gameplay, I think this game offers some unique features not often seen in idle games. It sort of feels inspired by Vampire Survivors when you do a dungeon because every wave you get a choice of a perk that only lasts for that run.

The game offers a variety of ways to try out new builds to push forward and I have yet to feel like I'm "grinding". I have 18 hours in game so far and I'm still having fun.

108 hours and hit the 100% achievements. I really enjoyed my time with this game. I wish there was more past this point.

The game is surprisingly fun once you understand how things work. There are various resources to collect, monsters to kill, quests to complete, bosses to slay, expeditions to conquer, equipment to upgrade and once you reach that pinnacle max level, you will restart earning shadow experience to do it all again, forever lost in the shadows. A semi-idle incremental RPG.

A numbers go up tower defense idle game but what makes it enjoyable is the character building similar to ARPGs. The perk tree which augments your towers to use build defining skills as well as a "loot" sort of system where you reroll mods for your tower with rarities normal<magic<epic<legendary. Decide whether to farm gold to get better rarities/mods on your gear or push forward.

This game caught me by surprise! At first glance, I was questioning a lot of things but once you get all your tools and figure out that the inventory is endless, the game opens up to be something more than what you would expect from the first 30 minutes.

(If I were to offer feedback to the dev, I would really showcase the tools/inventory space asap. It would help with new player retention in my opinion. First impressions are everything and as a new player, if I didn't stumble across the tools/inventory, I would have a assumed the "Crypt" was how the game played out entirely.)

Once you get your tools, the game becomes a sort of open world "skilling" game similar to games like Runescape, RPG MO, or Curse of Aros but it also offers adventure which at times feels like a Zelda game. We are left to figure out where to go next with NPC dialogue, find items that NPCs need in order to unlock access to the next quest to discover more parts of the world which in turn makes the open world even bigger.

While the game isn't finished, I see massive potential with this game.

The video below is random gameplay of me starting the game on hardcore mode. (Only one life)

This game gets more in-depth the further you progress. Starts out kind of slow but as more features open up it becomes something worth sticking around for.

I recommend this game in it's current state. I have played Stardew Valley and Coral Island and Cornucopia has a lot to offer that will feel different from the other games. The mines in my opinion are a lot of fun! The card system makes it feel like you can always have a chance at finding a random quest, buff, or reward. The game doesn't force you to go back home every day like the other games which is a breathe of fresh air. Overall, I think this game is a lot of fun and a must buy for fans of this genre!

Good for what it is. A simple idle game about opening chests for rare drops. I'm having fun playing it as a background game to get 100% achievements!
